The 29 ( 10mm )and the 30 (.45 ) have 3.78 inches barrels. Great test, interesting results.

Sig, 180gr, DT 180gr, civil defense 65gr.

The video wasn't about how fast the individual rounds were, but the difference in speed with a longer barrel.

I figured that. But bullet weight plays a significant role in that. I've been reloading and load development for over 50 years in many different calibers. To say the least I do understand how and what effects velocity in every caliber.

@@dennisowen3717 that's also why I went with two different 180gr rounds. To see how they differ with one being a factory FMJ, and one being a self defense round. Once KZbin chills out some, I plan on doing a second chapter to this video.

It's not a "one size fits all" ammo. It has it's place, but I have found some good ammo on the market. I have recently started loading my own hot loads of speer gold dot and HTX rounds. Both perform very well.

I have soooo waited for this!! I have a Banshee MK 10 300 series with the 8 inch barrel. I really wondered how much more fps would increase using it. Can you make a video using Extreme Penetrators and Hard Cast bullets out of that 10 inch barrel? That would be mad interesting and entertaining! It's gotta be a must do! Great vid!

Sig is 180gr, double tap is 200gr, civil defense is 60gr.

Many of the 10mm self defense loads are not very hot. They are loaded to not over penetrate. So, basically just a .40cal.

60gr civil defense ammo. The ammo has gotten stupid expensive. I used to buy it for $20 per box, now it's $50 for a 20rd box.
