This is why I bought a house off-base when I was there (2014-19). Privatized housing has been around since 2000, so I'm aware of the "games" that they play.

Simple solution, stop privatizing to civilians, fine these corporate companies who take their time on fixing the solution, or ban them from government contracts and have the military take back housing responsibilities.

Lived on mil base most of my mil career. Retired 2012. Rarely had issues. Civ co takes over....🤷‍♂️
