Sounds like you’re putting words in my mouth. Let’s be honest, this channel is for people who wanna speak English. And inherently baked into English is this thing called accent. This video explores all these various types of accents. Some are easier to understand than others. We subconsciously speak in accents but now that I am making it conscious we can actually choose to change our twang if we choose. You are free to choose. If you feel you’re a successful second language learner and you’re happy with your level of fluency, just speak English then. But if you find yourself not being able to read the air here, then I suggest thinking in English. It kinda puts everything in perspective if we speak the same language. I can read your thoughts. Can you hear mine?
Actually you have to go out into reality and talk to people, otherwise you’ll never talk. You can even start NOW by THINKING in English. Just open your video camera and record yourself speaking in English. Then watch yourself speak English. If you’re happy with what you hear, then you should just go out and talk to people! If you’re not happy with your English you have a bitter truth to face. Either give up English, or dedicate yourself to GETTING BETTER. So the choice is yours. But it all starts with AT LEAST trying💪🏻
*I used translate because i really wanted to make sure the analogy across and i don’t have time to respond to every comment

Exactly- as long as everyone understands each other right? So why do so many Japanese NOT understand English? Lack of education about the true nature of spoken English. And American English isn’t the best. It just happens to be the only one I know. I recommend anyone learning English to choose a native accent that best suits them 🫡
Thanks! I’ll try my best to make the best✌🏻don’t worry about the other comments- they are not interesting in learning how to speak English 🫢these videos are for you 🫡
Well this is a long story but I can’t understand some native accents. I can understand the Filipino accent but an Indian accent can be tricky. It all comes down to experience. For most people there’s no need to learn all the accents. Like Scottish is straight up impossible. So any accent is legit in its own land. But if you’re learning English as a second language, you get the chance to pick the accent you wanna study. I’d say you should pick one and pick one you like. And if you don’t know which one to pick, I’d say British or Californian is the most internationally recognized. Californian Accent is world famous because of Hollywood. Anyway be cool and be you- high five 🙌🏻
Ya this channel is about learning English. But if we are talking about learning Japanese, everyone knows the difference between あんこ and ウンコ right? When Japanese people make a mistake in pronunciation, it is like anko/unko not hashi/hashi. And it worse it’s just not understandable. Without feedback, without failure it is impossible to learn. But to your analogy 橋 and 端 is a little harder for sure but the process to learn it is the same, don’t look and listen at least 100 times. Also knowing basic grammar so ハシを渡る is most likely bridge. Anyway language is first and foremost a sound and the written form is merely an imperfect visual avatar trying to represent something that physically cannot exist in a visual dimension. So if we can stick to the theme of this channel- which is how to learn English as a second languge- either you are learning or you’re not. And if you’re not then what are we talking about?

So choose the accent that’s best for your life situation. If you wanna speak like a student your whole life, and you’re good with that, then go for it. I honestly think that most students don’t even know there’s a choice because teachers and schools are really bad at teaching English. Bad teachers begets students that don’t know the truth. So that’s why I say, mimic the sounds coming out of peoples mouths- people you meet in reality. Those people you meet are your greatest teachers. And don’t trust 1 teacher. That’s how cults are started. Talk to at least 10 people and get a feel for it. As this video clearly demonstrates, 10人十色
Well thanks for watching. My videos are for people who wanna express themselves in English a little better than before. So if you don’t wanna improve anymore then that’s ok. だって俺は漢字を勉強しない。したくないし。 so as long as your satisfied with your level then more power to you. My only question is why didn’t you comment in English?
Hi KY先輩 I am Japanese and I think the accent is like the language jewelry to prove our nationality. We could get rid of it but its more attractive with the accent, so we should not try to speak like native english speakers.
