Judo should be teached in the usa. Material arts should be practiced everywhere. Material arts is not practiced as much anymore. We must not let material arts be forgotten…

It’s so sad that so many of these techniques are illegal nowadays in competition after they made grabbing the leg illegal.

So bjj is basically just judo without the throws ?
@jaketheasianguy33072 жыл бұрын
Everything BJJ has when it was born already exist in Judo. Helio is a weak human being so he focused on using the guard to submit people while being on his back, which is why BJJ today people pull guard like wimps all the time instead of using takedown and throws, totally opposite to Maeda teaching. Same set of techniques, different approach
@yzx12322 жыл бұрын
@@jaketheasianguy3307 Wrong. Let's see you get fucked up by someone's guard
@jaketheasianguy33072 жыл бұрын
@@yzx1232 did i said using guard is a bad thing to do ? No Guards in a real fight works like it's name, something to keep distance from the other guy when you're on your back, and you don't want to be your back on the ground in a fight. Sport BJJ guys crawl around the floor, spreading their butt cheeks asking people to come inside their guard to play a game when in old school Judo and Wrestling, the goal is always having better position than the other guy. See Sakuraba vs Royler Gracie and watch him kick the crap out of Gracie's legs for pulling guard and spreading his legs

This stuff freaks me out. I have slowed it down to half speed and still can't get. There is just one, where he does sasae, when you can see that at the precise moment his opponent shifts balance, his foot is there instantly. There's also an o-guruma he does where you can sort of see it's at the exact perfect moment, but for the most part, it's simply voodoo. The guy must have made a pact with the devil to be that good.
