Yes this will fix it. Put pea stone around the pipe. You can use concrete patch to grout around the hole where you bust into the box and seal that up good.
@douglaswilliams4735Ай бұрын
Yep, you ight even need to bore a hole under the concrete and put the perf pipe all the way through under the concrete.
@jondrexler135529 күн бұрын
Exactly what I was going to suggest. It's called a French drain. I wouldn't put pea gravel down as it would block up the pipe. The pipe should be on the ground and surrounded by either #67 or preferably #57 stone. Put some fabric on top if you have a lot of soil that may block up the pipe.

For the pathway you may be able to dig a pit next to the area where the water is gathering and make a french drain deeper than the water is sitting. It will eventually tun downhill. If you can dig under the concrete pad you can put a perforated pipe leading to the drain to assist with movement of the water as well.

1:20 well it might be a bit difficult now but, a bit of tileing going to the culvert would probably be your best solution. that way you dont have a trench to drive over, and it would constantly keep it drained.

You could tunnel under the walkway and install a permanent pipe to carry the water under to the catch basin. Tile grout might work better in those cracks by the milk tank. It is a lot more fluid and will go deeper into the cracks. Love the happy cows as they go back into the new bedding. Thanks for a great video.

You can jack up that pad and put a drain under it. I know I saw a KZbin video on it at some point. If its reinforced you can just jack one side. I did that on a smaller piece on a narrow walkway next my horse barn and just dug out and put drain rock, but you prob wanna put a small drain pipe

The 2 part epoxy concrete repair stuff is much more durable, because it's not really cement. Look into it the next time the floors start to get pitted. It's available in a caulk gun tube, but you should use a trowel to push it into the pitting. Great video!👍

i see others have similar ideas dig down beside the concrete a couple feet but not so deep that water won't drain into the catch basion cut hole into catch basion for the perf tile then back fill with washed gravel not limestone. limestone will work but over years it may become soft and become like concrete . it would be best to do it on both sides of the concrete you may be able to force a steel pipe under the concrete so yo don't disturb the concrete path. deeper the better so it don't freeze and heave everything up. good luck

without digging up the concrete, drill or dig underneath the concrete and put a weep in (perforated pipe) to take the water away - either that or cut out a 6 inch wide section to put the weep in under the concrete, you can always fix the concrete.

For what it’s worth regarding your Milk Storage Room, I had to do an interior concrete patch and a recommendation was offered from a Big Box Store employee. Try mixing the patch material, or powder, with latex paint in place of water. It takes longer to setup but it makes the patch more pliable and helps it get into more of the voids you can’t see.

I watched another KZbinr that when he was installing his new concrete drain he drilled 1-inch holes in the side of the drain down low. Then he placed a dense foam over it then backfilled it. That would give water a place to go and not get backed up underneath the concrete.

2 ways to fix it use a steam power washer blow a hole under the concrete and put a pipe in. 2 cut a 3 in piece out of the concrete and drop in a 3'' line for the water to run under.
@CaseyWeaverАй бұрын
For the drainage issue I'd think you could easily cut in a channel and install a plastic channel drain... the drains have ends that join with PVC pipe that could span the section immediately under the metal guide rail. Once everything is in place you can patch the concrete to permanently hold everything in place. You could even run perforated pipe into the uphill side and then out of the drain to feed straight into the drain box.

Make a French drain from one side of the concrete to the other and core a hole in the box 4” should be plenty for that small area if you wanted to make sure go the normal size and go 6” ya be a lot of hand digging under the slab but don’t look to long just have stone close to the top and top soil over it the water will get through and into the pipe
@DouglasYoung-tx8xfАй бұрын
Maybe you can get like a foot square pile like they put on floors or walls and bathrooms and such and put that on the floor over there where the water drains out of the pipe it’s harder than cement that might work to cover that area and just lay that down in the water run off of it you try that

How about a French drain to a dry well that feeds under the walkway and out away from the driveway area to a grassy area to dump excess water. I would make the dry well at least 3 feet deep preferably 4 feet. Fill with 2-inch rocks but at the bottom use 3/4" rocks up to about 2 inches above the drain covered with a porous landscape fabric which should cover the bottom layer of stone to help fight sentiment filling the drain and will allow the water to immediately go to the bottom to drain away

Tile line like French drain... if memory serves me correct the bunks flow towards the concrete then towards the robot area... due to grade etc I'd put the tile all along the one side of the concrete up to the barn to prevent more issues down the line along with along the concrete slab that the minerals etc r sitting on and run it under the concrete where u hand dug the drain then connect to the catch basin... then foam fill under the slabs where it's already compromised due to the water and the inability to get compaction again to hopefully save the slabs from heaving so u don't have to repour... digging out gravel and placing a tile line covering and foam filling is a whole lot easier and cheaper then repouring or getting someone to come foam fill once heaving or sinking has occurred... they have heavy duty tile or culvert pipe sections ment to be driven over by heavy heavy equipment etc... so glad u noticed before the situation worsened
