I ordered mine as soon as Amain let me know they were available. I’m a simple man, I’ve driven the same near-stock 2wd Slash for about five years now and a handful of brushless smaller scale trucks from Banggood and such. The Misdemeanor is, for me, the perfect mix of style and performance. I don’t have access to big places to let a faster car rip and I don’t have smooth enough asphalt near me to bust out something like a Tamiya TT02 or a 4Tec.

If it were mine, I would throw the hobbywing SCT max10 motor combo in it. That way it could be run on 4s if needed but probably run it on 3s most of the time. Obviously I would gear it up some as well.

I'm just blown away this is over 300 dollars and it's brushed. It looks so cheap at a glance. It makes more sense to modify an existing brushless 3s arrma chassis to run on the road, since this new "infraction mini" is a 3s brushless arrma with a brushed system in it for the same price.

See what you can top it out before you go brushless. I believe it can handle 3s. Gear it up as much as you can and once you let all the smoke out take it brushless. The Misdemeanor is the same chassis as the Vendetta, so if you're buying it to upgrade to a more powerful setup you might as well just buy a Vendetta that comes with a more powerful setup. Also I'm assuming the 30+ MPH on the box is if you change the gearing. Did they include a higher gearing? I know the Traxxas cars include a higher gearing setup for you to use for speed runs.

First modification: 2 or 3 more teeth on the pinion, followed by 3S. Try to get the most out of the brushed setup before switching to brushless.

You might as well have bought the real full size infraction then. This infraction mini is 320 bucks. 340 or so with tax. Then you spend another $150 or so on a 3s/4s brushless system. That's around 500 bucks... just save up a little more and buy the real thing at that point. Or buy a used 3s brushless arrma, any one of them, put slick tires on it, lower the stance, and get an aftermarket body similar to the infraction. Then you have the same thing as this new car for half the price.

This is aimed at the beginners IMO. I got my son the typhon mega to learn how to control the car versus just hammer down on my on my Slash. When he of course learns a bit more and wears out the brushed system it will get a max10 upgrade. All in all its a good deal for the beginner.

I grabbed one. Didn’t even run the brushed system, immediately swapped it for a castle brushless. A couple things, this thing sits LOW. If you plan on running off-road at all you will have to trim the body. I used some aftermarket shocks, and slightly larger tires to get the ground clearance I needed. With the copperhead 10 on 4s this thing is literally a danger to anyone who is nearby. Doing that first speed run I got the same rush of adrenaline I get when I’m doing 6th gear freeway pulls on my street bike

Like I said, mines on 4s brushless, and with some street tires on, it basically drives exactly like an awd drift car, except instead of rattling across linoleum, it’s blowing up berms and shooting roost 6ft in the air

I’d be interested if they made a brushless version. I don’t want to spend the money to upgrade, might as well get the big one time you spent to upgrade. I prefer the size of this over the big infraction and 50 would be fast enough I don’t need 80mph.

This trucks 200 bucks right now, incredible deal! I actually prefer the NiMH battery, more speed than a 2s lipo, bout the same punch. Its actually a good battery. The speed controller will handle 3s if you run a 17t 540 motor. its actually a rebranded hobbywing 60a ESC and specs for that show 3s capable on 18t 540/550 motors. A good 17t is close enough. Drop the pinion a tooth or 2 and she flies, no brushless needed!(this test was done on a granite 550 tho, stock motor cant take the 3s for long)

I’ve run mine for 5 min or so on 3s still brushed. Motor of course gets really hot and kinda smells burnt ha. It gives it all the speed I’d want though. Wish it could handle it! Or is there a brushed motor that I could swap out that could take 3s? I have a HW system ready for it but I’m mainly ripping through gravel and dirt trails etc.

Arrma was aiming at the "new guy" getting into RC with this. Included battery & charger brushed electrics. It is Pricey but EVERYTHING is going up. Not great for OUR Hobby ☹️, it's already Expensive!! Not everyone can afford an Infraction right now either. So you buy the little brother and Upgrade when $$$ let's you. It is what it is!! They’re 70mm. I just did the math, and i think it’s going to cost more to convert a sention than just buy an infraction. The only thing that will swap over (other than electronics) is the chassis. Arms, links, shock towers, driveshafts, body mounts, wheels/ tires, literally everything. Sounds like a fun project, but a big investment. Let me know how that turns out.

I just picked up one up for $150, they have a sale. "ONLY" reason I did lol, cuz the electronics are 💩. So as usual, it got gutted & parts listed on ebay. After selling parts, puts me at about ~$60 cost for the truck. Upgraded to connect with my Radiolink controller w/ signal booster, Castle Monster Mamba X 6S ESC & 2200KV Brushless motor, upgraded servo, 4S CNHL 120C racing line lipo, 50T spur, 20T pinion...... Now it's alive instead of "26mph" out of the box lol.

Ok hello my names jason . ide say a savox0231 servo. Ide go with a hobbywing max6 system 3300kv or 2800kv motor . that way you have a option to run up to 6s . ide see if they offer the optional drive shafts that dont vibrate. And ide find a nice set of shocks and wheels just to to it off . body looks fine and the fold metal rims are spot on

$40 less than the 3S offerings and it includes a battery and charger. It’s great for someone’s first RC and has room to be upgraded in the future. I honestly expect to see the brushless cars go up in price in the future has the global supply chain doesn’t improve. By this time next year I could see the Vendetta being the normal price point for their brushless 3S line.
