There is no negative trade off with that Pact shield talent, the absorb is not smaller if you go with Ichor of devils instead of Frequent donor.

Thank you for the in depth guide! Picking up Aff to try in PVP this xpac and there was a lot of good stuff in here I was missing out on. Any tips on how to go against double DKs? Did some skirms with the homies and that was all we were running into. Would it be better to curse exhaustion in that situation or is weakness always the go to for melee/physical?

I think this build is more of a AOE build that works well in Shadow play "Chãn" for an example doesnt run soulswap nor Multipel UA:s if im not mistaken.

I kind of take this back as I see the curses cost soul shards, so I'm guessing a nice way to apply curses is something like, apply weakness on warriors or heavy melee, apply tongues on casters, exhaustion for a slow, etc. But my question now is, how do you typically apply your dots?

Hey thats Jinx pvp talent applies all curses+corruption when you press exhaustion/weakness or tongues!

My favorite warlock build was with malefic grasp...I love the idea of dumping dots on a target and drain soul pumping huge dmg with a built in execute. Is there anyway to play Afflicition with drain soul and be competitive?

You can still play Drain Soul i was playing it few days ago, IF there's something that makes you play better in general YOU can do it, it doesnt mean that we always have to follow the meta. (I'm a huge drain soul fan, prolly my favorite spell on aff)

Drain soul is really good for baiting kicks and getting overall more raptures off. If you play against classes that have longer kicks. Or like mage, feral. Hunter feral. Drain soul might be better. It’s amazing. I wouldn’t recommend playing it against dks though. Instant shadow bolts to break green 🐂 💩 shield and still get some use out of your proc. It’s harder to dump night fall procs so run the same build in this guide just with drain soul you’ll be absolutely fine. Just put up at least ag and corruption first before you drain soul chances are they kick you and u still get a few early rapt casts off then can go into real dam and ua casts

Buy Gateway Control Shard from a reagent vendor, bind it on a key and you are good to go! You wont have to click anymore!

Rampant Affliction.. I mean 60 % minus damage.... thats ALOT. Dont know if it is worth it. And why are you running perperual unstability over Xavius' Gambit???? Love to hear why. You didnt explain your choice of talents regarding thoose.

Because the reduced cast time in pvp is amazing. Its more important to rip out your dots as fast as possible then for those dots to do a little more damage. You can then get into malefic rupture faster. Which is always doing more damage then the damage increase talent.

Its only about the dispel protection, once we have multiple UA's out its difficult for the healer to dispel our dots!

Ur def wrong about the crit nightfall proc capstone. Maybe ur not getting any procs cause u have 0 crit I have 20 to 25% crit and get nightfall procs for days. Iv seen 4 in a row before (stacks up to 2 and i just kept spamming it for 2 more)

I have just tested it and you are wrong about Frequent Donor and Friends in Dark places saying it gives more shield than the other talent. They both give the same!!! Also nightfall procs like crazy if you have at least 15% crit, blizzard is forcing us to focus on crit now even giving us talents that play well with crit, but you still refuse to switch and live in the old times when haste was the meta I guess?
