Great memories, as a Hatter. I remember this match, as a twelve year old watching it in the Maple Road. Wow! Seeing those players of both sides evokes so many memories.

Please to meet you, I was 13 and QPR lol 😂 😂 many a good game against the Hatters! Stan Bowles was going to Forest soon after, I was devasted, however he did get a European Cup winners medal and fell out with Cloughie.... lol 😂 😂

@freddysquirenaranjo4859 Stan Bowles was incredibly gifted but his vices held him back. He would've played with Dave Thomas, brilliant winger who, sadly, has been registered blind for many years. QPR had several hugely underrated flair players in the 80s like Fereday and Bannister. They should've kept Chris Woods (after having lost another great GK, Parkes). Luton fared pretty well on the Loftus Road artificial surface when QPR generally dominated teams on it, I was at that very first match on it when we scraped 2-1 win after being down to an Andy King goal. I think you'll do okay under Ainsworth now that he's stopped that silly tactic of launching long balls to Dykes. I was hoping Luton would buy Tyler Roberts, he played pretty well against us.

The big collar on Luton's shirt looks dated even by 79 whereas QPR's kit looks modern...and both strips by Adidas.
