Coolest piece of home boy engineering I've seen in a red hot minute. Many thanks, worked like a charm.

Having the same problem with my Gen5. Great info. Thanks!

so it basically becomes a Manual CCT? I will be trying this later today. Did you put a nut on the main bolt to prevent it from backing out? similar to what you would get with a Manual CCT?

Thx, very helpful, happened in my gen5 too after I install a QS. Seems like this a common issue for gen5 and qs.

mine is still rattling, could it be something else or maybe that the tensioner is completely shot?

Brilliant idea, about to do it on my gen 4

Thanks for the advice. Very good! How long should be the cutted piece you put inside the tensioner? Thanks.
@eniamreg544 жыл бұрын
Jose Luis Bermudez Merino about 3 inches. Just clip the short end off a Allen key and it should be long enough.

So my motorcycle Kawasaki zx10r 2016 I got such noise on the right side of the engine. Only replace the cct will disappear noise !!!!!!! I would be happy to respond to you

I had three things going on. 1 sudden idle surge. 2 long crank time, when starting. 3 lost of power at the top end. After adjustment all solved.

bro, do i have to do TDC or not? do you prefer do the click trick way or take out the cct and reset it? i hope you response?🌷
@eniamreg542 жыл бұрын
@@hadaramibikerhadramout217 no you don’t need to Tdc the motor. As you are not removing the chain. You will only need to remove it if you over tighten it to reset the cct. One or two clicks is what you are listening for.

Did you place the allen bit inside the spring?
@eniamreg544 жыл бұрын
I remove the spring and the rod. Listen closely for the click. After each click start the bike and check the sound. You don’t want to over tighten the tension.

would you recomend me getting the original cct if my gen5 still has warranty or getting the ape manual cct?
@eniamreg547 жыл бұрын
Eduardo Carmona I would stick with the original CCT only because it's still under warranty.

What size Allen key is needed to shave off?
@eniamreg545 жыл бұрын
a 4mm should be fine.
@dhananjayatrey28224 жыл бұрын
This does not apply to the 2016+ Gen5 model. That bike comes with a non return type tensioner.

Explain 2016 and up having cam chain slack.
@dhananjayatrey28224 жыл бұрын
No noise in mine. It's a 2016 that's clocked 24k. The trick is to fix the chain right without slack between the cams and then unscrew the tensioner fully before letting it in the final position.
