Why would you call it automatic tensioner if you have to manipulate manually?😮
@Adikxx8 ай бұрын
It is an automatic tensioner as it's designed to adjust itself according to wear of cam chain. It does it via the internal spring which pushes the plunger out. If you really are SO UTTERLY DUMB to ask this question then i will answwr it for you. I pulled this automatic tensioner out BECAUSE IT FAILED !

Excuse me looking at your video I hear a knocking or rattle on your zx9r before and after the tensioner modification, which I also have on my zx7r and I can't figure out what it is due to. What could it be? I thought it could be the alternator.

Kawasaki’s are notorious for being noisey and sounding like they are going to fall apart lol, try doing a valve adjustment and run a better oil. Hope this helps

My ex500 sounds like that when the valves are adjusted properly. The engine quiets down when the valves are out of spec. Just noisy engines.

My Z900 has the same rattling sound, I'm guessing I can do the same.

when u losen the tensioner the spring pushes the pumger out. he didnt reset it ur right but he did add tension cause sometimes these things stick and dont adjust when they should. thats why backing out the screw sometimes makes it click
