Lygon would have been buzzing after home games in 1995

I get why they have games at the MCG and Docklands but every team should play one home game every year at their old suburban stadium, Carlton at Princes Park, Richmond at Punt Road, Collingwood at Victoria Park They would need renovations but it's definitely possible

I'm sorry but urban grounds aren't AFL male standards due to profits.
@ETsAFL Жыл бұрын
Could be done easily but Punt Road is very small capacity wise for AFL Men

So stupid to get rid of the suburban grounds.And I'm a Collingwood fan.

I was there with My Dad as well who got to experience Princes Park alot longer then I did. My Uncle and 2 Cousins who supported Melbourne were with us as well and at The Tender Age of 13 after 1st going to the Footy at The Age of 8-9 I may have not really understood the Impact of the Loss of Princes Park but now I do after the recent years we've had. To this day I MISS PRINCES PARK and always will til the day I die

Im not a Carlton supporter, but i do wish they would reopen these inner suburban stadiums again ..The game was much better when clubs truly had a home ground advantage and also added to the spectacle of the game.. I personally never liked Etihad stadium and never will...always felt sterile to me from inside and watching it on t.v

I was at the game, against Melbourne, I think we got smashed.

the 1st & last games @ the venue was carlton's home lost

We lost by 3 goals in the end but it did get beyond 6 goals at 1 point

WHY did it close down. Ian Collins was the President of Carlton at the same time he was the CEO of Etihad Stadium. No conflict of interest there. Reopen Princess Park.

Why'd we stop playing there?
@MisterPolitical15 жыл бұрын
because the stadium was too small for afl standards
@AlonsoRules4 жыл бұрын
that reason is rather ironic, because the Carlton average crowds would fill Princes Park every week
