I've often wondered whether the Blues could have still been playing premiership season games here if they'd put in the time and money that Geelong have spent on their stadium to upgrade it and turn it into a top class 21st century sporting facility rather than taking the easy option and chasing the cash by playing home matches at the boutique inner city stadiums that are shared by lots of other teams, taking away a decisive home ground advantage in the process.
