These Videos have been a Huge help. My networking teacher pretty much just blazes through how to do this stuff without truly breaking it down. So your videos are very helpful. Thank you!

@@TechAcad Being lost myself on the subnetting topic I took to Google for articles or videos thinking I'll find an article or video to explain subnetting so that I can complete the packet tracer activity. What I found though was much better, a great and amazing person that actually walks us through the activity while showing the work involved. @Tech Acad I commend you my friend, thank you so much for this. God bless you!

Thank you for the wonderful instruction. We're doing school remotely and don't have anyway of verifying or getting help with our work quickly on these exercises. It's also great reinforcement to go through another time or two, or until we can narrate the video ourselves. Haha.

How do you estimate about how many bits to borrow? This is the only question that I haven't answered in watching this video. Overall, this video is the best packet tracer video I have watched. Thank you this was really helpful.
@TechAcad3 жыл бұрын
That depends on the number of hosts required!
@clarklouisecena30823 жыл бұрын
@@TechAcad are there any specific values that the number of bits is equivalent to a number of certain hosts? For Example, I'll assume that when there are 60 hosts then the bits to borrow is 2 or something like.

how to get access to the spread sheet that you have were you are writing down the values
@ashbusiness59343 жыл бұрын
in 4:10 how do you get 32 address when you borrow 3 bits? how is this calculated?
@marksummers4633 жыл бұрын
I can't get the Packet Tracer work sheets to let me type in the spaces. I get a cursor but I can't get my input to appear in the spaces.

How do we calculate the binary value for the full 8 subnets? I am so confused on that part?...
@TheAnto_323 ай бұрын
My prof knocked off 20 points because I didn’t physically write part 2 where it ask assign the subnets 😂.

Would it be possible to get the supporting excel sheet you have?

when you get to S1 on the addressing table, how do you know if you need a default gateway? This has confused me for a while.

How did you make the excel addressing table? Like how did you make it look exactly like the one in the packet tracer assignment?

probably just manually

so does this require 5 subnets because of the router to router area

on 18:51 the subnet number 4 should be 192.168.100.97 instead of 192.168.100.129, correct me if im wrong thank you

No because it specifically says to use Subnet 4 for the link between the routers.

@@TechAcad I actually just waited till the connection went through before exiting and switching to g0/1. worked like a charm
@ruselargentum29362 жыл бұрын
but still, why did you pick 8 x 30 instead of 4 x 62? Its pretty confusing, even thru 4 x 62 is also correct - it is treated as an incorrect answer.
