Cool video. I'm a photography semi-pro myself and learned photography while travelling also. I would add a few tips to those you have listed. 1. Get up early. Tourist places all tend to get really crowded after 8am. The best moment to photograph is at sunrise. Even more so in mountain areas when skies are clear. 2. If you shoot during sunset, don't leave just after the sun is gone as everyone around you does. The 30-60 minutes after are magical as the colours in the sky keep changing every 5 minutes or so, especially if there are some clouds.

Definitely agree with both! Heading out before everyone else is a game-changer.

I’m looking to share more travel tips with my photography channel and you are so so right about this niche not having many females! That’s an encouraging find!

Very interesting Sandra...I always use the law of thirds when composing a shot whether that's portrait or landscape, it's foolproof. The auto function on entry level cameras should be abolished in my opinion, forcing the amateur to use the manual/aperture/shutter setting. they would learn far more this way.

I think a lot of beginners find the settings intimidating (I was definitely one of them), but once you tell them a few basic rules, they realise it’s not as complicated. 😄

That is so true if they did remove the auto function from the DSLR'S. I will never use auto that is a disaster waiting to happen. Just my opinion. RAW is better. I am a Professional Photography major here at Fresno City College in Fresno CA, so I now know how do the job that is asked of me.
