The reason for this is he described all the settings IN RELATION TO EACH OTHER. Most other attempts to explain photography focus on one aspect without explaining how they interrelate. Up until this, I thought exposure just had to do with the iris. In fact "exposure" is the combined result of several aspects. Context is everything.

LISTEN! This video has taught me so so much. I am studying a degree in Film and Television but as a first year, we are more focused on photography this semester. I am working on creating my own cinematic pieces and so this video took what I already learnt in my Image Creation class and amped it up in terms of video. I never heard of adjusting the white balance ANYWHERE and it actually made a lot of sense. There was a video I filmed in my room with only the overhead light that gave my footage an orange tint, which I adjusted in post due to colour correction, which I didn't even know how to do until I learned that day. Safe to say that from today onwards, my short films will be improved, thanks to this channel, so thank you!

I’ve just started exploring my interest in videography to record the memories and experiences that my wife and i created. I’m a veteran who works as a nurse and I know absolutely nothing about filming in general. However, this video has given me so much knowledge straight out the gate that it’s beginning to inspire me even more to create! Thank you so much for these lesson and I’ll be sure to use them well.
