I’ve seen so many videos about top rookies views for series two. Not one had Abreu on the list. I don’t understand it, the guy is putting up ROY numbers. Last week he was 1st in AVG, XBH, total bases, OPS and then 3rd in RBIs and Runs of all AL rookies. That guy gives 200% every game. His plays in the outfield are amazing. He takes away so many sure hits. He really needs more national love for an amazing rookie year so far. I think he’s gonna be a big sleeper hit

Thanks! As a Rays fan, I don’t like what Abreu’s doing one bit! Hahahaha, but as a collector, I’m looking forward to getting his cards! Haha Wilyer Abreu is currently third in AL Rookie of the Year betting odds, behind two pitchers! Luis Gil and Mason Miller. That means Abreu is the best hitting rookie in the AL, and card collectors like that!

Do you mean like inserts and such? Some of those inserts seem fun, but it seems like there are always some dumb ones, like “Flashy Feet” or “Sweet Shades.”

@@DavidGonos I guess more so the first pitch autos and some stuff I’ve been seeing Topps pushing on their social media sites that are cool but they should be in addition to hits, not hits of the box type stuff.

Super pumped about Series 2, David, as you noted!!! Loved seeing Winn at number 2 on the Gonos list! Overall, really like those that made the cut, even beyond my 2 target guys. By the way, I’ll agree with you, that Caminero is sharp looking. By the way, personally I don’t really like when they do the short print rookies. I say if you’re gonna give us the guy’s first flagship card, give us the guy! Anyway, thanks and well done.

Would you recommend getting these guys cards graded now or just hold for a bit before grading?

No, give these cards/players a couple years m, unless you are trying to flip and sell them immediately. Otherwise, save your money and see which guys rise above the rest! A lot of people sunk a lot of money in getting Kyle Lewis and Jo Adell cards graded.

I think the SPs are cool to chase but at same time it would be nice if they just put them in a set. Its like a pre-rookie rookie in flagship. Idk if that makes sense. Id like their first flagship card to be their rookie. Otherwise most likely if we consider the sp their first flagship i wont get to own one

Yeah, or like what Patrick said - make the SPs just special cards for veteran players only. Like an MVP card or Cy Young card, etc. Still chase cards, and still of good players, but not of rookies. Then again, they won’t sell a billion cases of cards for breakers to try to find them. Oh well
