Totally agree. Tampa is a great city on the West Coast. Lots of influence from the mid-west USA. East Coast of Florida reflects a lot of the New York "vibe". One more suggestion if I may: the Tampa Theater is a restored movie palace dating from the 1920s, the heyday of these grand venues for cinema and live performances. The Tampa's not quite as over-the-top as the Alabama Theater in Birmingham or the Fox Theater in Atlanta, but it's still a spectacular look back at that era. There's a schedule of theater tours, films and live events at their website.

@Chris Brooks This is THE most snootiest reply I have EVER seen on youtube. Going into a rant about Americans, their knowlege, their wealth or lack of? Who the hell are you? Are you even an American citizen? You don't sound like it with your uppity attitude and accent. I enjoyed your video & gave it a thumbs up but am going back to change it to a thumbs down based on the off the wall rant reply. FL is wealthier than other areas? In the Northeast, it is very wealthy, very educated, very well travelled as opposed to anywhere in the south, yes, including FL. Go back to wherever you came from. And take the stick out of your ass. And I unsubscribed, fyi.

Moved here in the area several years ago. I absolutely love it here. You pointed out many things that I have already discovered but there were also new ones that I intend to check out. One that I do believe you missed was Tampa History Museum. It is a must see.

I live in Tallahassee which is about 4 hours away and I love Tampa. I visit at Tampa at least a half dozen times a year or more. I catch weekend Rays, Bucs and Lightning games as well. So much to do there and the culture is wonderful. I’d move there if I didn’t so well here in Tallahassee. I mostly stay at the West Shore BLVD DoubleTree which has a great sports bar as well as a high end restaurant and it’s also next door to Charlie’s Steakhouse(yummy).

If you expand to the Tampa Bay Area you get so much more! The Dali Museum is a must see, the beaches are some of the best in the country, downtown St Petersburg is a blast, and you don't have to fight the Tampa Traffic!
