I apprecate the apology. As someone whos adoptive mom called them that name just because im autistic, its really hurtful. It doesn't hurt people who weren't affected by it but the same can be said about domestic abuse and sexism. Some women (and men) laugh, the majority of us who were abused don't.

Not every non- English speaker will understand the meaning or cause behind a word. And honestly, I wasn’t offended by the word as an autistic person but I understand why others would due to experience and history 👌🏽

I use the softest possible tool when blending/smudging my paintings but I've learned recently that sometimes the better way to blend colors is the gaussian blur. Gotta get them seamless blends 😚👌 *Chef kiss*

Aside from flipping drawing horizontally, it's also a good idea to stand up and look at your drawing from afar. You'll be able to see problems with proportions and composition this way.

Alicja, just wanted to say that I was surprised because of ur usage of the r word, and yet I understand as a non native English speaker. In Spanish al revés is backwards and not offensive at all but retrasado can mean backwards, behind and the r slur, but context changes the meaning. Like the plane is behind schedule: el avión está retrasado. So the word is used a lot and yet in particular context can be offensive. Sometimes it’s hard to keep all definitions in order, especially when u start to learn other languages on top of the ones you already know. But I understand u mean no malice in this instance-hopefully.

I totally agree with all these tips and one thing I realized while drawing is that sometimes I am thinking of something else or talking to someone even though I am able to keep my focus on the drawing (that doesn't happen all the time). But I don't have the ability to draw quickly :P

Just zoom in all you want and switch the reference window to canvas so you can see the whole canvas , you can also zoom in in the canvas reference to like look at the whole mouth for example while zooming in on the lips on the real canvas

On procreate you have to turn down the opacity of the smudge tool, that’s why you’re having a hard time.
