I was also surprised that the developers didn't make clans and call them Chapters.

hopefully chapters/clans will be part of a future update, it will fit the them of this game so well.

A knife instead of a gun? By the way, in 40K there is The Inferno Pistol, also called an Infernus Pistol, which is a Melta pistol. 😅😅

Biggest problem with Assault wielding a knife instead of a pistol is that he then becomes even more useless against thrope enemies. Plus as far as the little ones are concerned, if you're surrounded then the Jump pack slam can essentially become a instant refresh with the right perk if there are enough enemies to kill in the area. My only gripe (as I love Assault) would be a better way of dealing with ranged enemies. When I'm fighting a group and I have a million ranged units chipping at my armour and health it becomes a nightmare/ closing the distance and locking down a snipers, especially an enraged one and more often than not it's snipers that kill me. Also hate they can always hit you in the air XD

yes if the assault has a knife instead of a gun, zoanthope/neurothorpe becomes more of problem and you would have to wait for certain melee chances. I typically save the jump pack for majoris enemies, im currently working on an assault video which I hope to release soon discussing the pro's and con's of that class and the issues many players have with the assault class. the assault is actually my fav class and you have to play really well with the class to justify using it. its a hot topic for sure!

It would be nice for the heavy to have the option of swapping out a pistol for a knife so melee isn’t so one dimensional with that class, with assault I personally just spam light attack with the thunder hammer and throw in the odd heavy with the lil guys and it works well plus gives great crowd control imo and I play ruthless consistently

Im also using more light attacks with the assault, heavy class having like a machete type weapon as an alternative to a pistol would be interesting!

@@Jack2505_ just so it has something to fight / spar majoris with cuz stomping the ground or a gun swipe isn’t all that effective feeling, basically just gotta wait for the parry or dodge. And yea I was only spamming heavy’s at first with assault then came to realize the utility of light attacks w the thunder hammer

One thing I want is a atleast 1 color scheme slot that is shared for every class. So if I want all my guys to have the same look color wise, I don't have to apply it to every class individually. The issue is of course not every item has secondary colors but they all have a primary. It's a bit tricky but definitely doable.

thats a good point as I noticed not all colors are available for all classes, so if you like the same color scheme, you should be able to use it across all classes.

You should be able to play any class you want whenever. So there can be 3 snipers or two Vanguards playing at once. No limitations. Because that "there can't be the same class" and now the player has to keep quitting until he can finally play his favorite is getting old.

Or smarter matchmaking options, in particular when joining in progress games, you select your class before joining knowing it will be available for you.

You should all be abke to use whatevwr class you want. If all 3 want to be bulwark, then ket three of us run through the map with swords and sheilds. Idk why they didn't take that from wwz, all 4 of us coukd be gunsligers if we wanted

i think this may change in the future with class lock being reversed and players can pick any class they want.

you forget, warhammer 40k started over 37 years ago - they wont just change a classes weapon set while it already has its own lore and rules in their primary game. the Space Marine 2 game is nothing more than a promo to get people into warhammer and its far from being in the beta stage when it comes to what weapons classes/squads use. what you are dealing with is the classes natural weakness vs enermies that are better suited for that style of combat

i mentioned using a knife instead of a pistol, not to remove the pistol. its an option to use the knife instead. the game will not be completely bound to the lore when it comes down to balance, perhaps when it comes down to the cosmetics but you may see changes to classes in the future that may not 100% tie in with the lore

@@brightdaygaming5692 im not saying the lore doesnt apply to the game, im saying there can be changes to the classes that could be applied to the game due to player feedback, for eg when they added "tight formation" most of the playerbase didnt like it and it was removed, devs will experiment with changes in the game what may or may not agree with the fans. remember this is a video game that can be subject to change.

@@Jack2505_ it cant because it would change the lore/rule set - you cannot just modifie a 37 year old game for a game that isnt even the meta. you are playing a story from the world of 40k not doing something that can be changed in that sence - the fact you call a power fist a power glove proves to me that youre new to warhammer 40k - there are reasons why the classes use the weapons they do.

@@brightdaygaming5692 so what you are saying is that the game is 100% bound to the lore, we will see.. its a video game.. things are subject to change and the devs will experiment with modifiers, weapons, gear etc. it will happen and when it does. I will ask you to explain why it happened and how it goes against everything you said. so in your experience in gaming, devs have always served the source material 100%? and kept a fan base happy all the time for 2-3 years? who cares if its bound to the lore or not. at the end of the day does it work in game and does it make the game better, thats what matters. space marine 2 is a good game because its a good video game, being true to the lore helps but being a good video game comes first.
