AGV and Arai for me. Personally I own an AGV Pista GP and the KYT NX-Race. KYT for the usual ride around town, and AGV during track days or just wanted to use something else for a change. I've been arguing myself to replace my KYT with the Arai RX-7V (Corsair X), but that would come in the future. AGV is very aerodynamically stable and not just some marketing BS, really excellent visibility, relatively quiet, and really feels plush and comfortable on your face. On the other hand the KYT feels cheaper, has thinner paddings, loud on the freeway speeds, but is super light (lighter by about 120g than my AGV), has great visibility, has speaker placements for comms (Pista/GP/GPR/GPRRdon't have this, but it's to be expected since it's track/race focused helmet), very cheap for a carbon lid (got mine for around 350USD), and has good ventilation (the Pista can get hot!). Additional note on Suomy and KYT > KYT bought Suomy and are like sister companies.

I've ridden with Arai's for 20 + years and appreciate their construction of using progressively denser layers of "foam" from head surface to shell. Not that I've actually tested it's effectiveness at protecting your head, but I like the idea. Years ago Arai was arguably the best at protection, but that may not be the case now that others have improved. This was a good intro into what's offered now, but it'd be nice to see measured impact and sound testing.

I love the Race R Pro and the GP version seems even nicer in regards to the padding. However, can you tell me if the magnet used for the excess strap is stilll a piece of shit? I have no idea why Shark insists on a feature that doesn't work most of the time. My magnet on the Race R Pro is junk and the excess flaps about very easily and it's unnerving.

u brought in the AGV Pista GP RR... u should have brought in the Xlite X-803 RS Ultra Carbon Golden Edition for the top of the line comparison.

If you want a race helmet go get a suomy. You can get a tx pro for a 3rd of the price of the agv, it's lighter and meets the new ece rating (safer)

Tires and helmets are the most universal items in motorcycling, but are also the hardest to give comparative reviews on since there are so many variables. I've loved the price, fit, and features of my HJC helmets. However, I did buy a cheaper HJC years ago which I didn't like. The higher spec ones are okay, but I'm definitely going to buy a Shoei next. Also, I did own a Bell, but they changed models so quick it was hard to understand the continuity of concept.

Hey Troy, nice cap. But the message should've been Go, read a Motorcycle! As in your magazine. Thank you for the review.

Was the Forcite noisy? That’s what some users have been complaining about. I’m pretty keen to get one and I’d like to support Aussie engineering.

Helmets aside, i was curious for awhile regarding your name, that was so indonesian. Siahaan is a last/family name from one of the largest tribe in indonesia (batak tribe) located in North Sumatra island. And in this video my curiosity has been answered lol. Sending likes from indonesia❤️

About the scorpion exo r1 How it is the head shape? I am coming from an ls2 arrow that is long oval, will this helmet fit long oval heads? I already tried the hjc rpha 11 and the fit is not ideal for me there are gaps on the sides around the head.
