Get familiar with the section your going to be reading beforehand by glancing at the summary of the chapter at the end. The go through the pages and just gloss of the text in one go- don’t even try to read to comprehend. After those two things, you then begin reading paragraph by paragraph and summarize the paragraphs in your own words in your notes and you go along.

@@angelstarfire if you want advice on How to follow up, I'll try to help you. 1. Find out the time you're most productive in. Maybe you're a night owl or you could wake up early morning . I was a night owl but I realized waking up in the morning made me more productive and healthier. So I changed my habits slowly and now I'm a morning person 2. Sleep well and have a healthy diet 3. Make revision notes as you study so it will be easier during your revision 4. Try to keep your phone away or block away apps..for eg: I use Stay Focused 5. Set a timer and set a goal..Make sure you study by mixing up your subjects, so that you dont feel too tired 6. Study the toughest topics in the time you're most productive 7. Make your own timetable..I like to specify the time I study to be more productive, while others may do it with a simple to do list. Find out what kind of timetable makes you more productive 8. While making revision notes, dont make it too long. Only include important points. If you read it before the exam,you'll remember the points very well. 9. Work out If you need more tips, I'll be glad to help. I followed them and ranked first in my class. I used to fail my classes 2 years ago. So these tips do work

@@angelstarfire yeah sure! Always remember that if u want to focus your mind on something, then you have to condition your brain, didn't get it, ryt? I'll explain... You want better scores, you want to acheive success in your exams, in competitions.... So all you're focused is on the outcome... But outcome is the result of input. If ur not inputting your heart, mind, soul and health, yes you read it right... All these 4 components.... Then how do you expect to gain something without giving anything. This is the universal law... Accept it. Now, whatever any person says, that do it according to your comfort... Then it's wrong.... Nothing in this world has been accomplished from one's comfort zone... You have to get out of your comfort, sweat into the perspiration of uncomfortableness... And keep doing that.. Is when you acheive something. Now, I mentioned the outcomes, but if you keep focusing on outcomes, then who's gonna focus on input... I hope you get what I'm trying here. Get up early, mind it,shedding yourself in the golden hours of the day, when rest of the world is sleeping... Is how you'll shine like golden. I hope u'll get my implications... Have a productive day 👍

@TheHeartsGirl6 жыл бұрын
If you are someone who doesn't understand why someone would spend time doing "pretty or aesthetic" notes, lemme tell you that for those with a visual learning style, like me, having different colors and cursive titles with different colors or drawings on the side, really helps me remember something better. In my case, when i can't remember a concept I usually try to remember where I read it and the colors help me with that. Besides some people NEED to be organized and have a to do list to study, it also helps you feel more productive. It's not the same for everyone but don't throw shit for those who need it or prefer it.

I agree with Myr . i also need colors and sections to remeber things better. I find that when im trying to remember something rembering what color it was helps remeber alot of the stuff in the same section. I cant read paragraphs of information and just retain it. Colors and bullet points help me a lot.

I like it to look nice because it actually inspires me to revise. PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING💛 Hi everyone! So I’ve realised that this video has got a lot of attention recently so I just want to clear a few things up!! If this is the first video you’ve seen of mine, I’d recommend that you watch my new content (of which I work a lot harder on now and is a lot better than this!). When this was filmed, I was in year 11 doing my GCSE’s, of which I worked myself too hard for. I don’t want to take this video down as I know it’s helped a lot of people however please don’t get into the mindset I did and view hours as valuable revision. This was unhealthy for me but perhaps may be healthy for the next person. Everyone is different and everyone learns things differently. Also for those of you saying about how I had so much time - I was suffering quite badly with anxiety at the time of filming this video and when I’m anxious, I try to keep myself busy (hence the amount of hours I worked for). Yes, I do realise this was unhealthy for me but I am doing much better now! I am aware that the colour on the title slides is not right and should be darker (it was an error with the video when I put it up, however I never expected it to receive this amount of views so I just put it up anyway). Please don’t comment about it ahah :)) I am now at college doing Media Production so I no longer revise/study but I do make productivity videos still! Please subscribe for my new content if you’d like to! I’d love it if you could check out my more up-to-date content as I feel it represents me as a person better! Anyway, I hope you’re having a good day!!

By building up stamina. It doesn’t just come natural. You have to force yourself to do it little by little and your attention span/focus will improve. Start of with just an hour or two a day, then progressively add time onto it. I would NEVER work towards building up enough stamina to study 11 hours but improving myself to be able to study for at least 5 in a row would be nice.

I love doing revision and attempting to getting the highest grades, I personally don't see diagrams and posters and excessive notes useful for revision. But I really wonder how you don't get distracted by things and focus on the revision, cuz I've made up a similar time schedule for everything and I barely follow it 😭 Some tips I'd give for revision from my perspective (Everyone has different ways of learning so these may be just specific to me) -Try to go to the library everyday near to your exams to get away from distractions you get at home. -Make paper flashcards with ONLY the information you need or feel you don't know yet or need to revise the most. -Do a lot of past papers instead of wasting time with notes, but sometimes its useful to make notes for better understanding of the content but not excessively! -Be colourful! Everything is much better understood if you make it flashy and it stands out to you, I personally use a lot of highlighters and colourful pens in my works and it helps so much. Hope this helps :)
