1. Goal Setting Importance: Writing down goals increases the likelihood of achieving them by 42%, according to research. 2. Weekly Review: Regularly reviewing goals helps activate the brain’s reticular activating system, keeping goals top of mind. 3. Progress Monitoring: Tracking progress through simple methods like weekly check-ins can greatly improve goal attainment. 4. Quarterly Goals: Focusing on three to four quarterly goals is more effective than overwhelming oneself with annual goals. 5. Practical Tools: Utilizing apps and journaling can aid in organizing and monitoring goals effectively.

What amazes me about youtube is how we grow through different content creators, we come seeking and they provide what we are looking for from what they are passionate about. And then we get to a point and we have outgrown a certain content creator..or our heart has exhausted what it came seeking for ie graduated this content creators channel, currently for me its Ali's channel..i feel i got what i cam here for and i am very pleased, Now im in a season that calls for a different kind of content, slow living... and im so fascinated at how the diversity of youtube creators beautifully shapes us. Thank you Ali..i dont know if ill be back but trust me..your content has grown me into an amazing person..and im grateful❤

Don't Trust your systems too much tho, As a first year medical student I devised a system throughout the 1st year, and then it was near perfect... near the end of first year, during say the final chapters, the teachers changed their methods... so my system failed.... u also need to be mentally prepared to handle a system failure... i was not then... Had to create a new system... but as i wasn't mentally prepared I had to go through stages of grief and it took a lot of time until i realized that i have to change my systems... always have room for some flexibility and be ready to rewire the entire system and don't hesitate much just because it took you say 1 year to build a perfectly working system that works for you.... Kudos, amigos!! p.s : that also doesn't mean that you keep on changing the systems, again and again when it's not working... make small changes, take one step at a time and allow a specific system some time as justice and see if it works... if it doesn't work try exhausting it and see if pushing things a bit makes it work, it will help you even more in finding better alternatives...

The 3 key takeaways: - Identity (WHO) > Behaviours (HOW) > Outcomes / Results (WHAT) - Setting systems rather than just setting the goals helps because the systems inform the behaviours, hence the outcomes - Consistency is key, and one enabler to achieve that is to monitor regularly I have a video on how to build a life strategy on my KZbin channel too -- this really resonated!

As a mature woman it brings me great joy to watch young people inspire others. Today I have watched Ali and Ivan From Notion with Simon from Better Creating. Young men who help others do things more easily. Young men who inspire, young men who aspire. Ali got me out of a very dark hole a few years ago and now I need to learn something new each day. I love the humility of these exceptionally bright young men. Most of all I love how both Ali and Ivan fiddle with their wedding rings😂😂

Sometimes I wonder if people who are highly motivated will achieve their goals with or without these 5 things, while people with low motivation won't achieve their goals even if they try to do these 5 things. There seems to be an unlimited amount of content online intended to help people achieve goals, which makes me think none of these systems are actually working that well. If they did, we wouldn't need to keep talking about this subject so much.
@syasyaishavingfun7 күн бұрын
I think people lie to themselves what their real goals are. A lot of people, deep down, their real goal is a steady job, hot meals, loving family, and leisurely weekends. That's it. But they were thought to aim higher, to get career not job, to have big house big cars big dreams. They were deemed not adequate as a human being just being happy to be as leisurely as cats and dogs. Ultimately though, these are not their real goal. That's why there is no real motivation. They already achieved what they actually want to achieve with minimal effort if they live in first world countries.
@stormyrosebud28782 күн бұрын
I think sometimes people fall into the habits of life and lose track of what their goals are. Daily struggles tend to take up the majority of our focus. Videos like these serve as a reminder to refocus and bring back the motivation that's been loosely floating in the back of your mind.

I think there are a small percentage of people like Ali who are extremely motivated, high energy, and creative who will achieve their goals regardless of the obstacles. Then like you said some people will not have the energy or motivation regardless of the goal setting techniques. However I do think there are people in the middle that will achieve not all but more of their goals by following some motivation techniques and daily reminders. I would include myself in that middle group as I find I achieve much more when I make concrete goals and remind myself often… but without the reminders get easily distracted from my goals.

Great tips from Ali! Here's what stuck with me (it rhymes so far, so must be 💯): * Writing down your goals makes you 42% more likely to achieve them - actually gonna try this in a Google doc like he suggested. Never thought something so simple could make such a difference * Looking at your goals weekly is key because of some brain thing called RAS - basically your brain starts noticing opportunities related to your goals. Makes sense why I keep seeing Tesla's everywhere since I started thinking about getting one 😅 * Don't just visualize success, but also think about what could go wrong and plan for it. Smart way to not get caught off guard when obstacles pop up * Pretty cool how just changing "will you vote" to "will you be a voter" makes people more likely to follow through. Might try thinking of myself as "a healthy person" instead of just "trying to exercise more" Really liked how he kept it science-based but practical. Gonna give some of these a shot! 👍

I absolutely love this video! It’s profound, accurate, and packed with invaluable, life-transformative insights delivered with such honesty. I've watched it 2-3 times already-at 0.8x speed-since Ali speaks quickly, and there are so many golden nuggets to analyze and reflect on. One key takeaway: our chances of success increase by 42% just by taking the first step. Imagine how much higher those chances grow with steps two, three, four, and five! As Ali beautifully concludes in the final chapter of his book, be a productivity scientist. This mindset encourages us to optimize our own journey and continuously refine the steps we take toward success.

During the summer, the personal goal was going crazy. Once I got a job, I was failing at the personal goals again but thriving at work. I'm not sure how I'm going to address this, I think I might set myself a weekly or monthly priority. Like "you don't even need to think about Goal A this week, dedicate your time and brain space to Goal B." I'll see how that goes.
