As someone who lives with chronic kidney disease & bladder complications due to childhood vesicoureteral reflux, I am restricted in the way I live my life. It puts a smile on my face to see that you fully appreciate your body & view it as a privilege, as so many healthy people don't. I used to be obsessed with body image, but as I progress through my 20s, it's people like you who help me realise that it's all about looking after your body as best you can. I also love how you use your 'influence' to promote positivity, mindful thinking, and selflessness. Thank you for all you are doing to help others.

Find your videos very interesting, as I’ll be an FY1 in a couple years. You also seem to have a great outlook on life! I’m wondering, could you do a video maybe on your top 3 and bottom 3 specialities based on your medical school/foundation experience?

Hi. Dr. Sarah good to know your goodself. Do your best you can and listen to your heart. Being a Dr. Needs alot of dedication skills support and caring. Your work comes first because the attention given by patients needs 100% treatment either post or pre treatment. Believe me it an excellent job. Be positive and be focus. Best wishers from Kuhan Kuala Lumpur Malaysia :)

Sarah, I really enjoyed this video. I think this video has a lot of life tips for just about everyone. Unfortunately it is too late at night, I am about to head to bed, so I didn't take notes. I guess I will just have to watch it again later and make some notes. I think some of the stuff you mentioned is not directly the results of becoming a doctor, I think it is just a part of growing up, and interacting with more people. :) By the way, I like your hair. It looks amazing!
@SarahNicholls5 жыл бұрын
Fufu Fang thank you so much!! I think you’re absolutely right, a lot of what I’m talking about are just life lessons from growing up, I feel like I’m finally becoming an adult 😂 And thanks about my hair!

halima xoxo aww that is so lovely! Thank you!! To be honest I feel like I learnt loads and became so much more mature through working as an HCA. You are thrown in the deep end dealing with people from all walks of life and there’s not really any training for that, you just have to learn on the job. I hope it’s going well for you! Xxx

Love this video, I'm an aspiring doctor but I didn't do well in my A-levels and I think its because of all my feelings that has pent up from moving to a different country and trying to get used to a different culture and language, as well as the parenting style difference that I have received. I know I should not blame it on external factors but I had a hard time adjusting to all these. Have you ever felt like so much is happening all at once and you are falling behind? I know that resilience is key in the Medical field and I am growing more in that aspect but I still find it hard sometimes, like how do you bounce back quickly? Can you please make a video about this, if you have? Thanks!
@SarahNicholls5 жыл бұрын
C.Anne07 wow it sounds like you’ve had a lot to deal with. I am in awe of anyone who moves to another country and settles down, I am really affected by culture shock even when I go on holiday so I can’t even imagine what it’s like moving to another country. You’re absolutely right about resilience and it sounds like you have it! I didn’t get the A-levels I hoped for either (I have made a couple of videos about that, let me know if you want me to send links). I will definitely make a video about this, great idea 💓
