Oh, I know this well! I do split shifts, so it means I start really early and finish late but I do not prioritise rest in the in between or after! I come home, feed my animals and lie down on the couch or in bed. Dinner rarely happens but brain still doesnt switch off until 1am as I end up doing Admin work in bed. This video has made me realise I've reached burn out.

But how did you get over the insomnia? That's what I need to know, been struggling with that for months. When I can get to sleep before 1am, I'll look forward to starting the morning routine!

Oh gosh it's so hard isn't it?! The only thing that really helped me was changing my shift pattern (I was foing lots of night shifts). I also read 'I can make you sleep' by Paul McKenna, which I found really helpful. I hope your insomnia lifts soon, be gentle with yourself and don't forget to see your GP if you need to ❤️

The whole thing about replying to messages and seeing notofications seriously stresses me out but the guilt that comes from not responding kept me in that state of burnout. So glad to hear that im not the only one who needs days between messages

My favorite videos of yours! I am a recovering people pleaser and so much of your advice resonates with me, especially "it's okay to be the bad guy in someone else's story." We are not meant for everyone, and everyone is not meant for us. Thank you! ❤

Such a precious video including your Mom Dr. Sarah. Thank you, Aunt Jane, for the wisdom you've imparted into Sarah's life, The Joy journal I recall was one of my favourites. No. 3 I can attest to you paying it forward into my life Sarah. Coming alongside me a year ago, I was not able to pay the full amount for the coach, I am forever grateful for the investment you made. Love love love all these pieces. Continue to making a difference in the world. Amanda 💗

Thank you. I love the five minute rule and many more. Keep it coming. - My but if advice, "Don't buy things to impress others. - Be kind. - Gratitude - Turn up in YOUR life. - small steps taken constantly to the moon. - laugh - don't listen to the news too much - live within your means - use cash, it helps to stay within budget. - Thank God/ the Universe for the good in your life. - Sometimes, a horrible ending can lead to a new beginning.

I have recently turned off all notifications on my phone, except for phone calls. If someone needs me urgently, they can call. Otherwise, I go through my various messages when I have the time and mental energy. Sometimes, it's a few days in between, and honestly, this feels so much more peaceful and intentional.

It's insane that our system makes the doctors sick! It's crazy to put them through the hours they do too even as students It's actually brain damaging the smartest people in society.
