11 of THE FASTEST MOST POWERFUL STREET LEGAL MOTORCYCLES RACE AT HUGE DRAG BIKE EVENT AT NHRA TRACK

Enjoy this side-by-side drag racing action as 11 of the quickest street legal motorcycles battle at a huge drag bike ManCup race at NHRA track, South Georgia Motorsports Park. This Real Street class has a lot of diversity as you will see turbos and nitrous, ZX14, HAYABUSA, and even a lone GSXR 1000 entry, along with riders of all different sizes. Wheel base is used to maintain parity amongst all the different combinations.
There are dozens of legal combinations but the most popular has been the turbo charged Suzuki HAYABUSA Big Bore. A rider under the weight of 120 pounds must keep the wheelbase to 61 inches. For about every 20 pounds of rider weight another inch of wheelbase is allowed, maxing out at 69 inches for a rider weighing more than 260 pounds. Nitrous powered bikes get a little extra wheel base to keep things equal. The GSXR 1000 plays by the same wheelbase rules as the nitrous bikes.
For those new to drag racing, a little extra wheelbase can make a big difference in elapsed time and make the bike less susceptible to wheelies. There is not an exact formula but an inch of wheelbase can be worth half a tenth or more.
In this clip we see former champion, nitrous big man Anibal Merced on his ZX-14 take on the ZX-14 of the lighter Jamie Lopes. The wheelbase difference is easy to see. Then it’s Marcus Hylton on the turbo HAYABUSA up against Jason Herron, also on a turbo Busa. It’s then the Kawasaki ZX-14 of Jason Fernandez up against the Suzuki HAYABUSA of defending ManCup champion, the “Amish Outlaw” Spencer Claycomb. That brings up one of the most successful Real Street racers ever, Johnny “Turbo” Dobrin and his Exoticycle Suzuki HAYABUSA as he takes on Bud Harrod of Georgia. Then it’s then the ZX 14 of Luis Hornedo vs. the Busa of Michael Sancho. Last but not least, multi time champion Jeremy Teasley brings up his brand new GSXR 1000 and steals the show! Looks like we could see more 1000s enter the class! We wrap things up with a funny moment as a grudge rider forgets to turn on the nitrous bottle.

I'm a full blooded Suzuki man! Hayabusa to be specific! 4 Kawasaki to make a 3 generations of 1400s hayabusa is still tearing that ass up!... I bet since everybody wants to switch over and be a Kawasaki fan just because they made a little bigger bike don't come back to Suzuki stay where you at! The busa will always be king!

11.95 in 1972 on a kawasaki 750h2..hard to believe in took 10years to shave off 1sec.. Now seems its a 1/2 sec.faster every year

Times advanced a lot over the next 5-10 years from 83-93. Suzuki gsx/r 750 & 1100’s and the Kawasaki Kz’s changed that. In 1992 I ran 10.4 on my 85 GSXR750F. Only mods were a full Yoshi system a perfect tune and forks strapped. At the time the National record in Australia for 750’s was 10.7 All the piped and tuned fast 1100’s were down in the low 10’s They were going quicker in the States. We are talking real street bikes. Let’s get this strait. In the US. They call them street bikes. But anywhere else in the world you can’t ride those bikes on the street. They’re only kidding themselves. Same as a-la street outlaws 6-7 sec cars. Extend a swing arm, put gas, turbo etc they become drag bikes. Sure once they were street bikes. Just because they have a registration slip doesn’t qualify them as street bikes. 99% of these guys don’t street. They drag these bikes only. So if these are street bike. What do you call drab bikes. Top fuel, pro Stock, drag slick or wheelie bars. I’ve been to drag meets street bike class around the world. Rules are no ext. swing arm, wheelie bars, nitrous or boost. Must have road legal tires. Just to name a few.

Have a 04 busa my dad built by hand for over 10 years getting it to exactly how he imagined it. The wheels and swing arm are $7500 alone. Sadly it’s garage kept now for the past few years because it’s too big for me. I’d love to share photos and videos of her, she’s absolutely beautiful

I ran 8.20’s at 172 mph on my old GSXR 1100 20 years ago in The Worlds Fastest Street Bike class. Low to mid 5’s in the 1/8th. Old school timers and relay logic for 3 stages of nitrous. That extra 10ths they are getting now is amazing.

I've owned both busa and 1k and raced both. The 1k was always quicker due to weight. Now I know these bikes are in another league for many reasons, but you can never underestimate a 1k as shown in this video. I currently own a 2018 1k and it's a wrap with that thing.

Fast bikes...but I can hit 288mph head down towards the earth with just my body and gravity under 18k feet normal full pull skydive. The world record is 350mph. The 3 stratosphere jumpers all went over 800mph....skydive is safer too lol

If you are ready get a GSXR 1000 or Hayabusa, start out slow and then grow into to something you can always take to the next level. If you are not ready for that 600s are great. I only warn it won't be long before you want to go faster. KZ and GS bikes can start mild and go to wild too. I'd get something stock that you can modify as you get comfortable. Busa is hard to beat.
