A modern supercar will still out brake a bike by a little bit (as much as I hate to admit it). Cars have a much larger contact patch and the use of aerodynamic wings, ducts and diffusers is more advanced than bikes due to the money in the car industry being much larger. Bikes will always be faster on the road in decent conditions due to them being much smaller, therefore having way more road to use. Aswel as it being much more common for a bike to have advanced training.

Bikes are tricky: yes, they have crazy power to weight ratio, but they cant use that, because of small contact patch. Thats why they have so long 1st gear, no use for shorter 1st gear, because either tire spins, or bike wheelies. 275hp/157kg with 4 tires would be a rocket. Kinda like carts are.

Carwow never fails to entertain us with their awesome weekly drag race. This may be the 20th time Mat has raced in a Porsche 911 but it still gives me joy just seeing it race against some amazing vehicles and bikes. Rapid lauch by the legend himself. We have to see this race the RB11 Formula one race car. That would be close to watch.

Man what a great video! I own a SD 1290 with the same pipe and tech pack. I was hoping that the SD makes an appearance on this channel. I have to say that its no competition against the MotoGP but held on nicely against the Porshe. I am glad to see the capabilities of the SD with someone that knows what they doing and just learnt about the great stopping power. Thanks Mat! Appreciate your videos!

The fact that it beat the Porsche in the rolling race is a testament to how insane the bike is. I bought my 2015 SD for $8k (full exhaust and tune). The Porsche in my country is 600K. There is no car in the world that could compete with a SD for the same price.
@valantj Жыл бұрын
SD did very well. Problem with naked bikes is air drag. At low speeds its ok, but at high speeds, air drag starts to play a big role. I guess thats why it kinda got stucked behind porsche...

@1010thechamp2 жыл бұрын
Yeah sure, and I would guess it'd be with Redbull, BUT as I've stressed before please bring a V10 and set the car up for straight line performance, you don't need barn door rear wings and all the other bits, need least amount of drag it can so Redbull's only V10 car would be their very first car in 2005 and the last year of the V10, 950hp, 605kg (including driver and all fluids), Monza Aero and gear ratio setup, slick tyres, then we've got a race.

@@1010thechamp what about 2015-2017 F1 cars Those were the fastest F1 cars in the history they went 372 kmph and Acceleration were the quickest of all time 0-300 kph less than 10 seconds 0-200 kph 4.7?
@1010thechamp2 жыл бұрын
@@Smzxe 2017 was the first year of the wider heavier draggier cars so they're out of the equation, I see where you're coming from hence why I sometimes say about using 2016 cars with a 2022 engine or something, they had tremendous top speed even with their 970hp peak power 2016 engines, 0-200kph in 2016 and the wider post 2016 cars I think the fastest was around 4.2-4.3sec which is very impressive for a RWD car and not on a drag strip surface, however 2004/2005 V10s had peak power at their highest revs without a actual rev limiter and top speed compared to 2016 was very similar, the difference is the V10 could do it all the time without worrying on battery power running out and turbo over boosted etc, also the 2016 top speed of 371kph in the race was at Mexico which has altitude and thin air and in the 2000s the V10s never raced there, otherwise they would be faster, in 2004 the V10s in a race reached 369.9kph at Monza and 2016 cars never beat that at Monza however it was rumored in a unverified run Bottas' Williams in 2016 reached 378kph at Baku with a double le tow on the longest straight on the calendar, but then Montoya's 2005 Mclaren was verified at 375kph in a test session at Monza with a ultra thin rear wing, it's inconclusive on top speed BUT acceleration still goes to the V10s with minimum downforce setting, 0-300kph was widely regarded to be in the 8s, the Jordan team published on their then website their csr in 2003 could do 0-300kph in 8.4sec, and that was not the fastest car in a straight line so one could only guess what a Renault R24/R25 Ferrari F2003/F2004/F2005 or the BMW Williams could do, maybe close to a 8sec flat. 2016 V6 was probably under the right conditions a mid 9s 0-300kph which would be close with a modern Ducati Moto GP bike, the bottom line is 2004/2005 V10s were still quicker in a straight line and laptimes than a 2016 V6 turbo/hybrid, and with the right setup on slicks would smash this KTM Moto GP bike, in a drag race or roll on.
