Anything Colleen Hoover I think I wouldn't read. I agree with some of the books you mentioned and the rest of them I just don't know them 😅 this was such a fun video ❤

I picked up the first Knockemout book as my first recomendation. When I found online book community and jumped straight to book 2 and patiently waited for book 3 and looking back, they were bad and not worth my time. The middle book seem to be the fan favorite which was the one I wanted to DNF (also the longest)...But nope I read them all, but I know better now and Lucy Score is just not my cup of tea. You are not missing out on those. In general I read some meh books getting back in the reading in like 2019, then upon finding community online way later I just didn't know what to read

Ok so i actually did like things we never got over it was pretty good but i didnt feel like reading the others in the series. I completely agree with you about fourth wing!! I read fourth wing.. It was cool bought iron flame and i never made it past chapter 3 so yeah

I actually WANT my romances to be longer. But the key with that is character and relationship development. Although romance is my favourite genre, I tend to HATE it when it's the main thing in books specifically. The development is (non-existent) never enough and instead of "romance" ... they're all about lust. Unfortunately though, this is STILL somehow prevalent in those long romance books that HAVE been written.

Sarah,you should 100% read the twisted series! I loved it,i get what you meant by the billionaire one and that was the first book which i didn't like so i DNF'd and read the others which i loved. You did say they're brothers they aren't lol,they're linked in some ways and the women characters are best friends. It's rlly good series (apart from Twisted Love)

Hii, new subbie here. I completely understand not wanting to read the Dune series, those books are so dense and I’ve literally been putting off reading them for that very reason 😅 but Sarah, you must, and I mean MUST see the movies. They’re a cinematic masterpiece (and what convinced to even want to read the books in the first place). I cannot reccommend it enough, such a well developed plot, with great actors and stunning visuals ✨, it’s totally worth it. I hope I convinced you to give them a shot😊

2:40!! I never get it either. I don't think contemporary romances should be so long 😭 Yes, I unfortunately thought that Violet's thoughts were often cringe to read. It put me off fourth wing and i ended up dnfing it. I searched up the ending and was apalled that I saw it coming. I really thought with the way that ppl were hyping it up the book would be amazing. I've learned my lesson lol. Popular recs are so often hits or misses. I wasnt surprised to hear that iron flame was worse. And yes i think that would be a great idea!! A reading vlog reading books you think you'd hate will be so fun!!

Girly you should totally read Twisted series, first off they're not brothers, two of the guys are best friends and the other two are more like working acquaintances. They're not all billionaires either only two out of four are. But yeah they do have the possessive alpha thing going on but still the series is soooooo good ❤ this series is what that got me back into reading

literally was nodding my head the whole time while watching this bc i agree with almost everything 😭😭 i think you're getting the twisted series confused with lauren asher's dreamland series! but if you don't like romances then i definitely don't recommend reading the twisted series! i read the twisted series and i only enjoyed the last one mainly because of the fmc. omg i tried to read the zodiac academy series too and i couldn't even finish the first book LMAO it was just so bad?? i also read the made series when i first got into reading and all the books were shit except the last one was kinda interesting but not interesting enough for me to recommend it or enjoy it plus the author is racist 🥲 you’ll never catch me reading iron flame/fourth wing or any sjm book 🫣 ALSO YES PLS DO THE READING BOOKS YOU THINK YOULL HATE VLOG

Dune is fair it’s dense but also incredible! I ended up loving Bride I was shocked how much I ended up liking it! I loved the world building and politics But probably won’t re-read you should def try it even to just hate read 😂

I like this type of video so much! I always wake up on the wrong side of the bed haha. I read Iron Flame just because… but you wouldn’t like it. One of the naughty scenes gave me the ick so bad I almost stopped reading. And yes Violet’s inner monologue is just as bad as in the first book.

I am intrigued by Bride, but I’m also scared 😂 I did like the first Crescent City book but didn’t like the second one and there is way too much swearing so I don’t blame you, haha. I will never read The Spanish Love Deception, basically any dark romance book, A Little Life (I know it’s on your shelf, sorry 😆), and probably no more Colleen Hoover haha

Going into Crescent City I thought I wouldn’t like urban fantasies because they’d feel too scifi but after I while I just accepted it and it was fine. Yes the swearing is excessive but I think a bigger gripe is that SJM really draws the plot out especially in the 2nd book but if you just accept it and go along for the ride it’s good I finished both in 3 days. Contrary to popular opinion the third book in the Crescent City series ended up being my favourite. I think the reason a lot of people didn’t like it was because it didn’t live up to the expectations people had with SJM linking CC with ACOTAR (I won’t spoil how). If you just read it without ACOTAR in mind there’d be less expectation that isn’t met. A lot of people were annoyed with how Bryce acted in the third book but it really makes you dig in and remind yourself why Bryce acts the way she does instead of looking at things from a biased perspective. You don’t feel connected and they feel a bit shallow at first but the characters just slowly creep up on you and I ended up crying in all 3 books, especially because Bryce channels her inner Aelin and really masterminds so you end up rooting for her. For books I would never read, all the romances you mentioned (I read the Twisted series and regret it), A Little Life because I like my mental state as it is haha and The Plated Prisoner series, and any more CoHo or Frida McFadden books.

I feel you on all these books… I will say though that I was kind of pleasantly surprised by the House of… series by SJM, but I wouldn’t recommend it per se. I listened to the audiobook on x2 speed 😅 I do really want to read Priory because I heard someone say it has asexual rep and as a fellow ace I’m always very interested in ace rep 💜

the twisted series is SO overrated, it gives me THE ICK like in the second book the guy says, "crawl to me" and there's phrases like "good girl" 😭 istg the point of most books is 1) smut 2) smut 3) you belong to me 4) smut 5) smut (this is just my opinion tho 😭 this trope is just not for me)

I recently read the Twisted Love series. I went into reading them as a certified hater and let me tell you. Book One ehh BUT BOOK TWO OMG I LOVED IT SO MUCH!! Book three was good until it wasn't and then when it wasn't I was so over the book. I haven't read Book four cause I felt like I needed a break but I only hear good things about it
