Becky, I couldn’t wait to tell you how you inspired me today. I was baking a carrot cake and as I went to make the cream cheese frosting, I realized I’m out of powdered sugar! Oh no! But then I remembered you taught me how to make my own brown sugar, so why couldn’t I make powdered sugar too… And I did! I made powdered sugar and my frosting turned out amazing. You’re never too old to learn how to do things and you constantly inspire me to learn to make as much as I can, “from scratch”. So thank you Becky dear. You’re awesome! 💝

I like how you cook!! You remind me of me, and we would cook well together....open a spice container or ingredient and dump (no need to measure), and you scrap your bowls/pans and don't waste any bit of food and flavors. Also love how you use an already used skillet or pan! Love that others use these time and money saving methods too. And you don't over edit out some of the everyday hiccups that occur to all of us. You are quick and efficient. It show that it truly doesn't take long to cook at home. Keep up the good work. 😋

A tip for caramelizing onions. Add water and cover and let it cook on high heat until it softens and is translucent then take the lid off and cook stirring occasionally. When the water is just about gone, add butter and melt then lower the heat and proceed as usual. Will cut the time in half if not more!!! And you can use way less butter

Burritos consisting of a flour tortilla wrapped into a sealed cylindrical shape around various ingredients. The anatomy of the taco consists of a tortilla (usually corn), followed by a stew, accompanied with onion, chopped cilantro and lemon, as well as some sauce, which varies in its pitch to the taste of the diner. A taquito or flauta is a Mexican food dish that typically consists of a small rolled-up tortilla that contains filling, including beef, cheese or chicken and frying it.

Becky is what I would call a "dump and pour" cook. My mom was one and she also added love. That's why we often find that when we cook Mom's recipe, it's not the same. This is only with non-baking recipes. You have to measure baking. But love is still magically added. Becky is that type of cook.

I make taquitos with corn tortillas. El milagro brand specifically if you can find them. They are fantastic. I’ve never tried baking them, I always fry them. I learned to make them by watching a woman from Honduras make them. In Honduras they top them differently than I do mine. I put thinly sliced cabbage, queso fresco or mozzarella, diced tomatoes, onions if you like, taco sauce, or tomato sauce with onions peppers and a bit of sugar. They’re wonderful.

Becky, I love your videos, and do get a lot of great ideas for recipes from you. So I hope you will receive this in the way it is intended. I don't mean to be critical, and I am not trying to be rude. But. I'm a proofreader, so I when I hear something that is incorrect either in grammar or pronunciation, it's hard for me to hear anything else. I am not perfect though, and I'm well aware that I too make mistakes. It's not a big thing at all, but if I had your job with the same huge number of viewers as you, I would sure want to know if I was making a mistake, even a small one. So here I go again: A marinade is a mixture in which you coat, rest and cook other foods. To marinate something is the act of doing so.

Thank you for the wholesome content! You have shared that making patties from ground meat is not a favorite of yours. Love to share my go to method of making patties. Take a kitchen scale, place a small piece of parchment on the scale and a biscuit cutter on the parchment. Spoon meat into biscuit cutter to desired weight then use the back of the spoon to massage the meat evenly. Place the back of the spoon in the middle of the meat and gently wiggle off the biscuit cutter. I cut the parchment into small squares 1x patty (easy to stack and flip onto the cooking surface). I hope this method will make the process more enjoyable!

I have a horrible back, and it takes a lot out of me to cook every night. I have my parents to tend to, so I can't always just grab a bowl of cereal, lol. It took me longer to get it done, but the pure joy of seeing so many things in my freezer was well worth it! You are so sweet, and I'm so blessed to have found your channel..... Also, my husband wants to know why I have a ton of things under a kitchen folder on Amazon, lol..... I need ALL THE THINGS Becky I tell him haha.......

You are so inspiring! I just printed out all of your recipes again and I am planning on making them once my new upright freezer arrives. Yes, I bought another freezer because of how inspiring you are. Our chest freezer just wasn't enough! :)

Yes, you did make the sundried tomato pasta more difficult by adding the fresh tomatoes. I've made the original and it is glorious. Although you should use pasta water it doesn't take that much so water will also work. Thanks for this.

One time my dtr had a 5 # package of steaks thawing on the stove. My granddaughter has a Great Dane. Oh, yeah, she easily was able to reach the steaks and what she didn't eat the other dogs were grateful for.

Had to look it up, but thought it would be helpful to remember that marinate is a verb…. It is what you do. Marinade is a noun. You marinate in marinade. Once you are done you can cook the marinated chicken. Love your channel and enthusiasm!

My question is... have you ever done a video on how you prep and store your garlic. I'd love to know. I love garlic in nearly everything and a lot. It's just a pain peeling an entire head at the time I'm ready to cook. I'm amazed how large your dishes are. Getting older our portions have shrunk and I'm no fan of leftovers. Also where do you purchase your herbs and seasoning in such large quantities. I'd love that. Mind you I'm in Montana, near Canada. I have to send for many things. I'm used to California, then Salt Lake City. I've been here 3.5 years. My Hubby loves his home state. Not me. I love the country but a large town closer than 7 to 9 hours would be great. We do have a Costco though that I belong to. I love to cook. Now I devote my time to Art and my crafting in my Studio.

Not sure if anyone else has suggested these, but I got some mini spatulas with long handles that are designed to get the remainder out of jars and bottles. They're so helpful! I got mine from Amazon in Australia, so I am sure they've be available in the US.
