I think my sister does it on purpose… she’ll text me how busy she’s going from be (single mom, three kids, the older two are in marching band and sports) and I’ll just be like “you need me to make you dinner? Stop at the store? Pick up a kid?” Not that it’ll stop me if she is doing it on purpose. I like that her kids are involved in things. And she helps me with rescue kittens all the time. I’ll call her and say “hey you work from home tomorrow? I gotta work overtime, can I drop off a kitten for the day?”

My dog loves them too. Also, when I met my hubby he cooked for me and made spaghetti and I saw him mixing the cooked pasta with mayonnaise. My jaw dropped. I was hesitant to try it, but it actually was good. He served it with a side of grilled chicken.
@loveyourselfplease68423 ай бұрын
This is something I suggest for everyone to try just once when you make macaroni & cheese using a white sauce & definitely when you're making it for you. I tried this the first time by reserving a small amount of the cheese sauce then added some nutmeg then cooked it separately in a baking ramekin. It's just a pinch of nutmeg but it brings so much depth to all the different cheeses & adds this little something that's kind of hard to put your finger on but it's especially great during the fall & winter months it brings this autumnal flavor profile to the dish but it's so subtle that it doesn't take over & change the whole thing either

Oh, my! I was skeptical when you said "pumpkin pasta" because I couldn't fathom such a thing. But seeing that sauce ... you can't go wrong with cream cheese! I am putting this dish , well, all of them on my to-do list. I learned to make Turkey Tetrazzini in Home Ec class back in the late 60s. I haven't made it in years, though (I also use chicken). I have some canned Italian sausage just begging to be used in those dishes 😋 Thanks so much for sharing.

Becky, watching you has encouraged me to step away from my tried and true stack of go-to recipes and try something new. Tonight, I made the Pumpkin Pasta Bake. Knowing that all pasta is the same recipe but formed into different shapes, I stick with spaghetti, fettuccini and elbow pastas. You peaked my interested when you told how the sauce gets inside the Rigatoni tubes, so I decided to give it a try. I don't think I've made a recipe that calls for Italian Sausage before or if I have I substituted Breakfast Sausage, so once again on your recommendation I purchased Italian. I'm not a fan of "spicy", so I knew I wouldn't like 1 teaspoon of hot pepper flakes, so I decreased them. The verdict, I like this Pasta dish but i will omit the pepper flakes and go back to using breakfast sausage. My mouth is on fire I can't tell if I like the casserole or not. Despite all that I'm glad that I tried something out of my comfort zone.

I use cheese ravioli instead of lasagna noodles and the cheese mixture when I make what we call cheaters lasagna. So layer sauce with or without meat, raviolis and shredded cheese of choice. Repeat as many layers as you want. I think I bake at 400 until hot and bubbly. It’s been awhile since I’ve baked it. It is great in the crockpot as well. Just add a little water so it doesn’t dry out. Chicken Divan is a great casserole as well. There are lots of variations online. The one that is my favorite is a Reuben casserole. Just layer the bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island or Russian dressing and Swiss cheese. My oven is wonky so I cook everything at 400 or higher until it is hot and bubbly and the cheese is a little browned. My mom makes stuffed zucchini that everyone loves. I would need to share it with you privately because it would take tooooo much space to post it here. I’d be happy to email it to you
