@@toomuchiridium my chihuahua/miniature pinscher mix is 16 & is in perfect health except for a trachea problem. Even WITH that, she runs ahead of me on hiking trails and has to turn around and check to see if I'm there, once she sees im coming she continues lol. She's losing her eyesight & hearing pretty bad but her heart is healthy and she is a very very happy dog still :) hoping to have her around for another good few years. I don't think marbles is a mix, but he should still live quite a bit longer. He must have grayed in the face early. Not to mention if marbles had an issue and needed treatment, you & I both know Jenna would shell out 1000s, even 10000s if it only meant another couple years for him. Hes in the best hands possible.

On my chihuahuas last day I was at work for 10 hours. He left within 30 minutes of me coming home. I put him on the couch and said “mommas here, I’m taking you to the vet”. He wiggled his tail and when I started to lock the door behind me he started to pass out (heart failure) and was gone before I could run to the vet quick enough 🥺 he knew. I hated seeing him die but im so glad he died in my arms instead of wondering where mommy was, because he always got scared when he’d pass out

This makes me miss my old roommate's chihuahua mutt so badly. He was so sweet, and he loved clothes. When it was raining, he'd refuse to go outside to pee if we didn't put him in his little raincoat first. The shelter found him on the street, so we were more than happy to spoil him - if he never wanted to pee uncovered in the rain again, I certainly couldn't blame him. He passed away this year. He was younger than Marbles, but small dogs can easily live to be 20 - he had a couple medical issues that luckily Marbles doesn't have. I'm missing him, but I'm so glad he got to be spoiled and warm and loved and luxuriate in a Superman T-shirt or a red hoodie for most of his life. And I love watching Marbles get loved and spoiled too. He was really bad at sitting too!
