I'll tell you why people play games. They aren't really games. I said, I want to break up with you to my last girlfriend. I wasn't into her and I didn't want to mislead her. I felt legitimately bad about breaking up with her because she pinned so much on me and our relationship. She wouldn't just accept that I just wanted to break up with her. So, I told her, I'm not attracted to you. She got upset and started crying. I even told her if she met someone who she liked better to go out with him. I was willfully mean to her because I could be. I asked her why she stayed with me? I told her I am not nice to you and you deserve better. If I wouldn't have broken up with her she would still be calling me and asking me not to talk to other women who are my friends. No thank you! My son hated her and that wasn't the first red flag. The point was that I tried to let her down easy. I knew I wasn't nice to her and I didn't want to be the horrible guy I became with her. It was a good idea, not a game. I felt like I had to lower myself to reach her lack of intelligence. I thought I could get past it and I was wrong. I was wrong for letting it go on for a couple of months. I was lonely and I was a wreck. ..and honestly I really wasn't attracted to her. I never had this issue before but I really did with her. So no, it's not always a game. I wouldn't feel stupid about the way the relationship turned out mate. You went into the relationship with faith and trust in your girlfriend, as should all emotionally heathy people. You may have a little work that you need to do on yourself, but your ex girlfriend DEFINITELY needs to work on herself and have an emotional exorcism. People who play these kind of games have a complete lack of emotional maturity and are a classic example of style over substance. They know the cost of everything but the value of nothing. They've grown up believing themselves to be justified in playing these games as well as testing their partners, creating jealousy and generally displaying disrespectful behaviours and attacking your self esteem in order to increase their perceived worth. Only they don't increase their value at all, it's all faked! It's a bit like when someone pretends to be flash with the cash on a night out when in reality they're rinsing their credit card to the limit at a rate of knots. You can expect their future relationships to be more superficial than anything else. They will fake it without making it, and once age catches up with them they'll suddenly come crashing back down to earth.

I dunno. She says we are just friends. Takes time to answer messages and stuff like that. But she is also pretty busy with work and studies over weekend. Always apologizes and says trutfully why she was busy, when she answers its never one liners and its engaged conversation, remembers even random stuff I told her and even called me just to talk and didnt flake from first date where she laughed like crazy(I am not that funny, I mean I am funny but not that much) and even did some stuff like hair pulling thing with her hair and seem to want second date even though my intentions are pretty clear. I was wondering if this could be a sign that a woman is interested in me. She used to work at the bakery I go to a lot, and we chatted and connected so many times. On her last day, she said my coffee was on her. One day, I ran into her at the bar. We chatted, and I said something about her bravely coming out of her shell better than me (however I worded it) because of her singing karaoke during her first time here. Not long after, when she and her friends were singing again, she gestured me toward them and pointed to the lyrics on the screen. What's funny is I had told her I didn't like being in the spotlight during the "out-of-shell" conversation. Not to criticize her action and encouragement! Just saying it's interesting and I'm wondering about her motive, perspective, and if it could've meant something. Did it? Should I ask her for her number, next time I see her?
