The Bronzer tip is wrong!! You should apply bronzer/contour where the shadows hit your face (temples/around forehead, hollows of cheeks and jawline. Still in a "3" shape, but where the light hits your face (top of cheekbones/bridge of nose) is where highlight should go.

You're talking about contour powder. Bronzer has a warm tone, so if you put it in all the areas that the sun doesn't hit, it's just going to look a little off. That's why a lot of bronzers come with shimmers in them -- to act as a bronzer and a highlight at the same time! :)

I think that cleaning your mascara wand with a tissue is the dumbest "trick" I've ever heard! First of all, how in the world a tissue is going to remove bacteria? and doing that is going to ruin your mascara because tissues tend to leave leftovers. Also, removing the product with a tissue is like throwing your money to the garbage, because the mascara is going to run out more quickly!!

Exactly. Why put lint into your makeup? If you wanted to clean your tools, you'd use a wet wipe or an alcohol solution and let them air dry completely. Towels and tissues do not remove bacteria. Then again, this woman touches her brushes and puts all of her makeup on with two fingers. Who blends lip gloss/lipstick with their finger?

Also, you should never do the "lifting" she speaks of (and tugging-strecthing is bad, too). Over time this stretches your skin and will encourage wrinkles to form. With a little practice, you don't need to lift or pull at all... not even for eyeliner. Take the extra time to be more precise by not pulling, and it'll pay off in the long run. ^^

yes, that is exactly why. have you ever spoken to a woman about makeup? there are tons of reasons for wearing it. in my case, i'm pale as fuck, so if i don't wear any eyeliner, people just won't stop saying i need to sleep or i've been smoking weed (i don't smoke. anything.) other reason? i like how it looks. another reason? eyeshadow matching outfits sometimes looks really cute. another reason? you can change your face so that it's not just one color everyday your whole life. same reason to get a tan, or to buy nice clothes, or even to work out. it's not because you hate yourself, you can love yourself and still try to change up things a bit sometimes. and putting makeup on can be a lot of fun too.

Cleaning the mascara-wand seems like a good thing to do but then it will run out of product so much quicker.. I have never cleaned any wand and they usually last about 4 months which is pretty nice.

TIME TO RANT!! What is sad is that makeup has become so important in society that it even affects whether you get a job or not. What's worse is that girls get to a point where they don't even accept themselves without makeup. Some girls out there say, "What a minute! I like myself, I just put makeup on because it makes me feel pretty and its fun!" Really?! Why do you think it makes you "feel pretty"? Because you didn't feel pretty to begin with!! Blush really depends on age and your facial structure. Putting it on the apples of your cheeks can bring the color down on your face and make it look much older than it really is. Putting it around the curve of your cheekbones and blending it up toward your nose and eye puts the triangle on your cheeks, but gives a lifted effect to the face.

Another way to simplify things is to use combination or 2 in 1 products like tinted moisturizer or BB cream. E.L.F. makes tons of products that can be used on your face, eyes, and lips and they're super cheap too. As far as I know you can only find them at Target stores in the US.
