Thanks for doing more than one type of hair texture. Videos like these often only show how to work with certain textures instead of giving a bit of variety. As a black woman, I can rock the curly looks in this video as well as apply the looks of the straight hair to my braids. I actually do the first hair style with my braids when I can't find a hair tie.

Nina Poizen I feel your pain, I was born with naturally curly hair that goes all over the place when it's left down without product and goes even puffier when it's brushed while dry (I can only brush it when it's wet and/or conditioned, which is only every three or four days, and after I wash the conditioner off I have to put oil on it again). I have to sleep with a plait/ponytail every night and I have gone through at lease 20 different products in my 14 years of living, including coconut oil (once my mum even tried olive oil!). My favourite product to use on the rare occasions I do decide to leave it down is wet look styling gel, because it not only keeps my birds' nest under control, but it give my hair a really nice shiny finish that I really love.

That sounds exactly like my hair :) I'm working on growing it long, and I know a lot of people say not to wash it everyday and when you do wash it, brush only when it's dry, but I can't. I wash it every day, do coconut oil soaks at least once a week, but its still poofy. I usually help this by braiding it as soon as it's brushed out and still wet from the shower, and then every hour or so taking it out, brushing through gently, and rebraiding. Then by the time I go out, it'll stay relatively less poofy :p

I have a couple of Asian friends with naturally big, textured hair. One is half Japanese and half Korean. One is Okinawan. One of my good friends is half white and half black, but has a giant fro. And lots of Irish people have thick, curly hair. So to say that straight/curly hair is limited to just white/black is very misinformed. (Referring to some of the comments here.)

Twin Team It's not common, but naturally curly hair does occur in Asians. Especially those with Okinawan, Negrito, or Mongolian ancestry and those from certain provinces in China. A lot of Asians with Pacific-Islander ancestry have thick, curly, or wavy hair, too. P.S. I don't think I'm lying, especially considering that I've know these Asian friends since elementary school (and have seen them with wet hair, untreated hair, and "completely shaved bald then growing back in" hair), and I know their parents, too. I grew up in Japan and Hawaii (which has a lot of Asians from all over) and I've seen lots of Asians with naturally curly hair.

What's with the white girls calling the black girl's hair ugly? For the record we think your hair is ugly too. Straight hair is so flat and lifeless. It might as well be glued to your head. I don't understand how anyone can find straight hair attractive.

I looked through the comments to see what you were talking about and seriously cannot find one white girl saying the black girl's hair is ugly. In fact, I found exactly the opposite (white girls fawning over her hair). For the record, fighting hate and ignorance with more hate and ignorance isn't going to accomplish anything. Your and idiot for acting like we don't get told on a daily basis that our hair is "napping and ugly." Straight hair is always being praised. You're just butthurt because this is the first time somebody called your hair ugly. Now imagine hearing that everyday. This is probably the only time you've ever been told you're hair is unattractive and I won't apologize for stating my onion because like I said earlier at least three girls called her hair ugly in the comment section to this video. Not to mention that any time I try I watch a hair tutorial for my hair type white girls are always leaving comments like "I feel sorry for girls with hair like this." Like I said we constantly being told our hair is ugly and you can't handle the fact everyone doesn't have to like your straight, flat hair.

+Amy Zero (MZ) learning a bun sometimes takes a bit of time, because youV'e gotte understand how this thing work in 3 dimensions and stuff... but I can put up my hair in around 10 different bunstyles, each in around 10-20 second. it question of training. :D
