This week I had to pick a few watercolors at the gallery after a good exhibition this month. I visited a few clients for new houseportraits and there was some time to start a new watercolor.

If clients watched you paint the paintings they buy, they'd pay 10X the amount.

I am appreciative of you sharing the early stages of your watercolor painting process. To my mind it’s the most creative part of the work.

I can't begin to tell you how interesting it is to watch your process. Genuinely, thank you for sharing your experience and I appreciate all you do. I've been trying to do water color for some time and always seem to over work them and it's very disheartening sometimes. I've come to love the act of painting itself vs my actual finished works however. Anyways, thank you again mate. Have a wonderful life.

Hi Titus, just started watching your videos and they are very inspiring, thank you for sharing! I noticed in some of your videos you have a mirror up on an easel, what is that for?

Hi Alexandre. Oh yes, I need that mirror every painting! Seeing your work through the mirror gives a totally different and fresh look. Try it and you know what I am talking about!

Thank you. Actually it is not a watercolor easel, it is my older plein air easel. Now I am using a smaller one for painting outside. The brand is Italian MABEF

So, your volume button is broken and you can't mute the video? 😂 People hate silence, people prefer music. Not just heavy breathing. You can mute the video, if you are so weird - you require silence.

@@mikesamovarov4054 And who are you to speak out for the 'people'? I don't prefer silence I prefer honest sound and not computerised MUSAK. And your knowledge of heavy breathing is a little bit worrying . . . it's a little bit 'weird' . . . . .Mike.

If I may, by way of explanation “why the music” I believe these videos of his painting process are not what you might be expecting-they’re not tutorials with someone chattering away ad nauseam about blooms and cauliflowers or pigments or rules. They’re visits to the artist’s studio or on sight work and creative process. The background music is original and I feel better than everything else on YT painting videos. The music might even be thought of as part of his painting. At least that’s how I experience it. To each their own.

What is your opinion of watercolour artists who paint section by section...not washes from top to bottom?

If it works, it works I think. For me personally the layers work well because it is the way to bring depth in de watercolor. But it will not be the only way!
