Such an inspiration. Love the way you explain about your paintings, and your thought processes behind how you are going to improve on them. Thank you for sharing.

I am an engineer who loves watercolour drawing very much. People told me to quit my job and start to become a full time artist. I cannot be the artist because I only learned the pencil sketch and my watercolour is self taught. It bothers me a lot due to no professional art education in my life. I kept drawing and drawing and drawing. I got lots of compliments from people around me, from people online, but i know something wrong with my artworks, I didn’t fully express myself or what I am eager to express on the paper. The most painful part is I know something is wrong but I cannot tell what is wrong. So what I can do is to keep drawing, drawing and drawing and I wish one day I can figure it out.

All those doubts, all those questions are what make you the creator you are. Don't lose the willingness to be better but enhance that feeling in your music, which is beautiful. I can feel that intensity in each key stroke... bravo!!!!

I love your commentary as much as your paintings. You are a creative genius and your techniques are astounding. Question - for watercolor painting do you paper or canvas? Thank you so much for your inspirational insight! Robt

I hope you don’t mind but I managed to get you a mention on “insideart”. They were asking where people get their inspiration on line so I had to plug your KZbin channel!

As one who has suffered. Art was for me but then i lost it, to survive. And now ive come back to art, for me, to survive. And it seems correct to say that your content inspired and continues to do so. When i need to just sit and listen and absorb an artist at work, a mentor, i watch a Titus video. 🤍🙏

Is the new house portrait for friend Wijnand? Am so happy to have found your serie of interviews with him, am watching one every day and am getting so much insights and aha-moments..was really frozen for quite some time and it never occured to me how much anxiety plays a role in it. So am very grateful you and Wijnand gave this gift. And this video was also wonderful, thank you.

I love the way you talked about that painting having two focal points and then they argue with each other. I agree that getting away from a painting gives you fresh eyes. Same with recording and mixing music. Sometimes leaving the mix for a few days you get a fresh ear on what the problem is. Love spending our Friday evenings in your creative and calm presence. And we paint when the video is done!!! It’s part of our Friday routine. Thank you!!!!!!!’

It is so helpful to hear you talk of problems in your paintings and to hear that you set them aside for a while so you can look at them later with fresh eyes. You make painting look so effortless, I appreciate learning that you actually have your difficulties, too.

I think it Is very common when we are painting and we get tired of leaving then looking at then for a while and then finding the problems . Is your watercolor of the bridge whith the yellow awring the same one that was Orange in another video? I had suggested that you tone it down. It's the same watercolor?

Hear you all filosofy about Artist person and suffering,. All person suffer, but in relation with the Artist person or human Artist is more understanding that this happen, bescuse art implication some espiritual thing, against material ordinary world,.and the way of live is complety diferent reflexes live and human thing in form of armonius and beatty, in some way there are form of discrimation, or some opponent about this an not understanding for ordinary world .

I find it ironic that in Holland, as a young person you would be told you can’t make a living as an artist, considering it’s the birthplace of Rembrandt. Who, as you know is coincidentally born in Leiden. It’s not that simple of course there are practicalities,

Let me add something else. I was listening to Mr. Sprowls music while painting this morning. And, I notice how painters, more and more, musicians want to hear the mechanics of the instrument behind (the brushstrokes). Put humans back in the creative process in the age of AI. I'm glad we're trying not to lose that. Thank you.

Very interesting conversation! When you were discussing intuition and creativity, it sounded like inspiration. That is also hard to define. And the feeling you have when you are inspired - how can you put into words? I think many artists think they experience divine inspiration when they are creating. They don’t know how else to explain what is happening to them and how it makes them feel and the amazing results.
