Ok well the one with the guy going to the crime scene, there could have been other factors. Like footprints because they mention "ravine" so there could have been water present in the soil. In addition, they could have notice tire impressions and drag marks; including a blood trail pattern. Maybe they also checked his hands because when stabbing somebody to death the stabber does in fact cut to themselves.
