Another wonderful video. Thank you both! I loved Faith's energy from her first video so was excited to see this. RE: trauma - as a therapist of some 21 years and someone with ME/CFS (with plenty of past trauma to manage including a stroke at 15), it is clear to me from working with hundreds of clients that trauma 'release' looks different for everyone and there are multiple ways to change our 'relationship' with our trauma. We can call it release or management or regulation or whatever, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that we find the right way for us, so for some it might be the methodology that Faith describes so succinctly and for others deep-dive therapy. One of the things I have always loved about your channel, Raelan (other than it being a life-saver!!) is how, knowing that there is no one-stop shop, you interview so many with so multiple options available. Thanks again to you both.

trauma treatement is individual - totally! in my case i imitate the seemingly virtuous trauma response behaviour my parents brought from their childhood (people pleasing 100% on autopilot (from fawn reaction) and workaholic); MY childhood was safe. i worked with vibration (eg humming), to bring towards the surface the drowned out and muted buzz of the nervous system. i managed to have a wiggling foot as an indicator so far. calming exercising have no effect, but anything with vibration. eg drum-audio.

@@erikasinternetgerat8019 I don't understand what you're saying about druns.. do you mean listening to them helps you with CFS? How do you incorporate this into your day?

Great interview! Love the basics covered here. And the ear wiggling made me chuckle at how far I've come...what the old me would have thought of that 😂😂😂

I don't know how I got the predisposition to be a nervous, anxious child .. but I did not learn this from my mother. She was the most laid-back person I knew. (My father wasn't in the picture) I guess this is the old "nature or nurture" question! I'm also on the ASD spectrum which doesn't help the anxiety..

Are you taking the PENE in consideration for these Therapies? I can’t find any video concerning PENE; Post-exertional neuroimmune exhaustion (PENE) is a neuroimmunological reaction of the body to exertion that is characteristic of ME. It can follow even minor physical, cognitive or sensory stress because the body is unable to provide sufficient energy on demand. PENE manifests itself in a worsening of the basic symptoms, which can occur immediately after exertion, but also with a delay of days. The recovery time varies according to the degree of illness and from person to person. It usually takes more than a day and can also last for weeks. Any worsening of the condition can be the new underlying condition. PENE manifests itself in proportion to the exertion, i.e. the more severe the exertion, the more severe the subsequent worsening of symptoms.
