Welcome to the channel. I recommend the following website to help with understanding the foundational concepts of Folkstyle wrestling: www.indeewrestling.com/folkstyle-wrestling-rules/ Please feel free to comment any time you have a question not answered above or below: Q. What do {G} and {R} in the video title mean? A. They refer to the green and red ankle bands which the wrestlers wear, and the wristbands which the referee wears, that are used for scoring purposes. Q. Who won the match? A. Those details can be found in the description for each video.

First of all, I love the catchy team name, "Team Gotcha." Secondly, this was a nice close match. Musa had the body positioning early in the video but was not able to score any points. This is the second video I've seen on your channel of a wrestler wearing a 'Gucci' singlet. I don't usually associate Gucci with wrestling and wrestlers. Evan turned it around nicely with that reversal and that was the only points in the matchup. He did a nice job staying out of trouble the rest of the way. Also, what happened shortly after the reversal and roll out of bounds? Why were they locked up for an extended period of time after the ref whistled? Not sure if I heard correctly, but I thought I may have heard Evan having to tell Musa to let go of his arm, so they could untangle?

I think it was just a result of how intertwined they got after the roll, making it difficult to untangle.

Gucci doesn’t make singlets

Wait who won like they didn’t do the arm raise

It's quick, but the hand-raise happens at 4:08. Also, the {R} next to the name of the winning wrestler in the title refers to his red ankle band (as opposed to {G} for the green ankle band), so that's another way you can identify the winner if for some reason a hand-raise doesn't happen.

@@MidwestWrestle Hi! The referee raised his hand, but it was not clear in favor of who; also in the title you say (R)...over.. (G). Does the "over" mean (R) beat (G)? Please forgive me, I'm still learning English.
@MidwestWrestle2 жыл бұрын
@@freespeech6999 No need to apologize, your English is great. Which hand the referee raises is significant, because it indicates which color wrestler has won. In this case, he raises his left hand with the red wristband, indicating that the red wrestler has won. Additionally, the red wrestler raises his own hand at the same time as the referee, although I would understand if viewers confuse it for a wave because it happens so quickly. Normally, the referee would raise the wrestler's hand, but Covid protocols temporarily required modifications such as these. And yes, you are correct that "over" is a way of indicating that {R} beat {G}. The term is an abbreviated way of saying, "Wrestler {R} has prevailed over Wrestler {G}." I prefer to use the term "defeated" because it is much clearer; however, KZbin has limitations on title length and when it is necessary to make space for more critical information, I change "defeated" to "over". Also note that the first name listed in every title is always the winner of the match.

@@MidwestWrestle Wow! Thank you for the lengthly explanation! Very nice of you! From now on I won't have any difficulties in determining who won the match.
