@UjithaDassanayake- I am preparing for my PMP exam. Super nervous! Are the questions somewhat similar to what David provides or more challenging? When reviewing David's questions, I tend to get the answers right but I also purchased the PMP 260 exam questions from the PMI website. To be honest, I am HORRIBLE at the PMP 260 exam questions!!! It's making me feel like my odds of passing are very low and I am not sure how to gauge where I stand. Also, did you have calculation questions on yours? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
@TheMarclion2 күн бұрын
@@tonmay9550 Questions were slightly trickier, i'll say that, but if you've done enough (as much as possible) of these videos you will get a general understanding of what they are looking for in terms of an answer, if that makes sense. I didnt bother with purchasing any exam questions. Have a read through the PMBOK guide specially the section on Models Methods and Artifacts. Then do run through the Agile Practice Guide. No super hard calculations but do spend some time on the EVM formulas , there are situational questions based off those . Most important dont over stress on the learning or memorizing, just grab an understanding of concepts and apply real world experience when stuck. I'm sure you'll get through . All the best !

Quick question: How can the scope management plan be created without a scope statement? Shouldn't the scope statement be created first? Referring to the question at 1:43:57 in the video above. The scope management plan is a larger document that contains the scope statement. So how can it be created before the scope statement is created?
@stevenheng06262 ай бұрын
A Scope Management Plan is a key component of the overall project management plan in PMP (Project Management Professional) that outlines how the scope of a project will be defined, developed, monitored, controlled, and verified. It provides guidelines on how the project’s scope will be managed throughout the project lifecycle
@stevenheng06262 ай бұрын

Dear David McLachlan, Your PMP course on Udemy is one of the best. Your energy and positivity while teaching, especially during the test explanations, really motivate students. I can watch your videos for hours without feeling tired. I’ve been preparing for the PMP exam for months, but I'm still not fully prepared since English is my second language. My exam date is December 7th, and I’m feeling quite stressed. Lately, I’ve been focusing mainly on practice tests, and I really enjoy the drag-and-drop tests as I learn a lot from them. My challenge is understanding the scenarios, as my limited English skills take up much of my time. I hope I can succeed in the exam and perform well with timing. I have a question David. I had viewed your PMP mindset video earlier and I remember one of the points mentioned was to always ask stakeholders about their communication preference. So, one of the questions I encountered on my PMI mock test was something where stakeholder was complaining about having to attend so many iteration review meetings. One of the answers was something like ask the stakeholders how they would want to be engaged and update the stakeholder engagement/communication plan. That's what I chose. However it was the wrong answer. The correct answer was something like explain the benefit of more reviews and feedback in identifying errors and maintaining quality. I am so confused on how the mindset would apply to this question.
