Hey David. I am currently preparing for the pmp exam and your videos are amazing to clear concepts and practice simultaneously. Just one request, please consolidate these basic 5 morning questions in 1 video as well. It’s from Video 1-30 in your 65 video series. I saw you have consolidated agile and waterfall from this set as well and added more questions. That is much better to see when the exam is close. Also, your last sentence “I believe in you and I know you can pass the PMP exam” fills me with hope and enthusiasm and I know I will pass it with flying colours inshaAllah.

Your laugh is so contagious. Just a moment ago, I was feeling so emotional, but when I returned to my practice, the first thing I heard was your laugh, and I ended up laughing too. Bless your heart. And no, I haven’t done my PMP yet. I'm hoping for July 🙏🏾.

Hi, how will this relate to the CAPM exam? I'm brand new to learning about project management, have never worked in project management, and am looking for a career change to project management. Thank you for your content. Any recommendations for me would be epic!
@davidmclachlanproject15 сағат бұрын
CAPM also has an ECO. The project management learning / content is much the same, but with the CAPM there is slightly more business analysis focus. This means learn up on the scope and requirements knowledge areas in your Process Groups Practice Guide. You can do it!

This video and the waterfall 100 and PMBOK7 150 video question banks helped me immensely to clear my PMP exam with 3ATs. My tips for all working towards clearing the PMP (especially if you don’t have much initial idea on Agile / Project Management concepts) would be this - 1. Get your fundamentals right (very important - take your time here) 2. Do at least 5 mocks (rather than aiming for high score - work on building the mental endurance required for sitting long hours, and use the mocks to understand what are your strong and weak areas and work diligently towards the development areas, by reviewing the topic multiple times and trying to mindfully use your learning when a similar question appears next time). 3. Watch David’s question bank videos for the exam question approach and mindset! You are guaranteed a high chance of success! Thank you David for the amazing work that you have put together for these videos! Forever thankful!

David your PMP training videos are exceptional, thank you for sharing this with us all! The way you talk through the core concepts of each practice question helped me get my head wrapped around the PMP mindset, something I was struggling with in using other materials. So glad I found this resource, and I'm happy to say I passed the certification with much credit owed to these videos. Cheers

This is great thank you so much. Also, I think it needs a project summary bar on the top 2 rows so you can see at a glance if the entire project is on track or ahead or behind schedule. Also a popup calender when inserting dates into the 'start' and énd' would be good to avoid human error inputting dates. Thanks again.

Sir you are a godsend! ❤ I took my PMP for the 1st time yesterday after only a week of studying and only used your videos. Just got my email saying I passed 😭🙌🏽 Can’t thank you enough for your amazing videos! For anyone looking to take the test- make no mistake it’s hard lol but a key to passing is knowing what to eliminate sometimes more so than knowing the right answer. Try to understand concepts over every little detail. You got this! 💪🏽

I took a pmp bootcamp about a year ago. My deadline to take the exam was fast approaching. I watched your videos the last two weeks, and it was tremendously helpful! I passed the PMP 2 days ago. I must say that I do have tons of study hours under my belt prior to these videos. Nonetheless, I am thankful for David!

Genuinely one of the best tutorials I've ever seen for Gantt charting. I have a couple of questions though (complete novice here). Is there a way that you can have the current day/week line (green) be dynamic so that panes are frozen at the topmost row in whatever week it is, rather than having K6 be the position the panes are frozen? (hope I explained that well enough). Second, can someone help me out with the formula that would base the % done on how many working days have eclipsed between start and end as a default? (for example, a project that starts on May 27 and ends on May 31 has 5 working days, but if today's date is Wed 28th, can the % done be set to show 60% (and 80% on the Thurs, 100% on the Fri, and so on)? Even better if you can have that as a default and still be able to override by manually adjusting ie, its Thurs 30th but we're only 20% done, etc. I've obviously set up the corresponding formulas based on the % done column and if they need to stay manual entry to make this work then no issue, just thought it would be great to look and see a colour coded reminder that "get your butt going, you're 80% of the way to the due date, you need to hustle". Any help appreciated - the only way I was able to be successful with setting this up is that the tute was so clear and easy to follow, but I've got no hope trying to guess at it myself!

Passed my exam AT/AT/AT. Your course and KZbin videos were the foundation of my study plan, so thank you very much. One comment for your future videos: the exam frequently referenced a "steering group" or a "steering committee," which is terminology I didn't hear a lot in my preparation.
@davidmclachlanproject2 күн бұрын
Congratulations on passing your exam! And thank you for the info, I will add steering committee to the course 🙂 It's usually just the group of executives or advisors overseeing your protect (and others). They might be funding your project and their areas might be impacted by your project, so they need to be kept informed. Things can also be escalated there as an absolute last resort. Thank you and congratulations again!

@davidmclachlanproject Do you have a video that would allow us to compare planned vs actual using this same Gantt Chart?
@user-vs1jm2op9v4 күн бұрын
So in a nutshell, Plan scope management is documenting rules on how we gonna manage the scope-related activities, it's not actually a process, but documenting a set of rules and guidance on how we gonna manage other activities related to scope.... am I right?

Hi David, your videos are great and I'm really grateful for them. Just a quick though on question 56... The PMBOK Guide 7th edition refers to the RFI as a "Bid Document" on page 75. The question asks what should you do *before* sending out the bid documents to vendors. Since RFI is in fact a bid document, answer C can't be correct. The Procurement Management Plan should be developed by this point in the project (we're past the planning stage and either in the executing or controlling stage). So reviewing the procuerement management plan actually makes sense, hence option D should be the correct one.

These questions along with your explanations are a goldmine. I watched all your videos and they helped me understand everything for the right mindset for PMI. If it weren't for these videos, I'm not sure if I'd have cleared my PMP exam.

The answer to question 25 doesn’t really explain why it’s the answer as the PMBOK uses an example of engineering firm vs the sales team process in this question
