I have the V222, and its warmer tube type of sound and high voltage output is a perfect match for my HD600 and HD800s, it also brought my Beyer 1770 Pro to life, they have now become my favorite headphones for classic rock, I use RME ADI-2 as DAC with it and I think I have reached my endgame with that combination.

I really Love my Mjolnir3, it was exactly the sound I was looking for my HE1000se . After finding that combo I no longer am iching for the Susvara. Synergy is way more important than I realized.

@@_Chev_Chelios are you sure you're not mixing up the 2 Vios I comp'd to in the full review? The MJ3 handles HE1000se better than Vio V222 (a fellow $1300 amp). But the Vio V281 - which is $2800 - handles HE1000se better than MJ3. Does this clear it up?

Solid state amps seem to have a weird gap. Lots of stuff below $1000 a few between 1000-2000. And then a decent amount 2100+

I use my 1000 stealths with 222. Any 1000 model sounds better with warmer amp and benefits if You eq them even more. Then on the other hand things like Focal clear mgs aint that awesome with v222 cos they are slighty dark sounding and v222 darkens them even more. I prefered topping a90d with them and the sound was amazing. Too bad my topping failed and im now interested buying this mjöllnir so I could listen warmer headphones again.

As time goes on I find myself less and less hung up on how an amp (or dac) produces its sound. I just want the most natural timbre and overall realistic sound I can get for the price. Whether it's done by tube, solid state, class A, class A/B, etc. (or R2R, ESS, AKM...) is far less important to me.
