Heya guys, in my case I just bought the empys 2, I am a proudly owner of an he1000se and Arya v2, and I was surprised when I compared both two, they are completely different headphones, but I couldn't say that this lack of technicality is an enormous gap nor necessary here, its indeed almost non perceivable when it comes to real enjoyment that these provide, the he1000se has a better technical emphasis, however when it comes to impactful tracks or vocals the empys are even more engaging with its warmth, smooth sound that its tuned as I've never heard, not really losing the technical requirements for that "fun" aspect but just the necessary to enjoy musicality on a headphone. Its great to see this fun tuned headphone resolved in the treble like this one does, its like if technicality and fun aspect were combined in a very refined way. Also both destroys the arya by far in technicality, details, soundstage (arya has bigger but its not as natural and refined as these), tunning... and at the time I auditioned the arya and was better than any headphone on its price out there and even more expensive ones (1500$). so in conclusion, 3000$ for a beautiful headphone like this, top tier cable and stock components and this engaging, colorful, warm and great and original tunning sounding headphone for me has been a great pair with the he1000se, you really won't regret if you have the money and you want a really great all-rounder musical headphone. Ah and this one specially suits with Burson and other good class a, extra warmth, impact and great dynamics.

i used to have the 700s on a merason dac. but now i let the 700s be an power amplifier only. because my rowen pre amplifier makes it all sound significantly better. it sounds less sterile and more lively and moving but still crazy resolving. of course the 007 is very happy about it since its such an incredibly sensitive product. perfect match rowen ods if you ever have an oportunity to listen dont miss it. Hi, thanks for the review. So, if I well intended , no possibilities to use with any streaming platform (Amazon Music HD, Qobuz….) from a FIIO Music app like WIIM, or Eversolo for example. In this case it’s a big frustration.

Good synopsis of the three, but just an FYI: you can "pad roll" on the majority of Hifiman headphones. The egg shaped in particular are mostly all the same size and can use the same pads. All pads that fit the XS and Arya fit the 1000se as well. Also, the wait time on the Tungsten is not just many weeks, but many months. 5 - 6 to be precise, and some people have been waiting longer than that.

I had one of those for a couple of years before I upgraded to a DNA Stratus; it was great, especially with my Utopia headphones; sounded like they were made for each other... The Quicksilver was about $900 when I bought mine, and that was some great value indeed....

I am thinking about buying the Denafrips Ares 12th or 15th which is within my budget but I cant afford a Denafrips amp as they are all over £1000 , I can only afford around £500 for the amp , I am worried I am just the amp will just ruin the sound stage and musicality of the Denafrips , is this true and can anyone recommend an amp to pair with the Denafrips around £500 ? Love my QS.. did some upgraded and it’s a beast with planars. Some decent tube rolling options. I used balanced outs from holo spring KTE to cma800r golden amp which is my primary SS amp. Cma is a pre for the QS and I use it for volume control for the QS which I find as a better option then QS just leave the volume lot around 11-12 o clock. Power for me is good enough to drive 1266 and Sus. Never tried it with the tungsten. I also use a Sonore ultra rendu

what do you think about the HE1000 Stealth new price being 1200?

Is it good to mix with a K19 for a gaming desktop to get even more vivid sound from these even if that means to use the EQ and filters functions?

I went from one of these so an SMSL VMV A1. I prefer the SMSL and it drives speakers too.

This little hockey puck made my equipment all new again. My 25 year old sony dual bridged 830 receiver drives like never before. The music is so clear at a 16-bit rate. I'm using basic amazon for my source and loving how my music is all new again.

The bass is not really flat down to 20Hz. It starts to dip at 60 Hz and with that crazy peaking at 3kHz, I consider this is a bad tuning. If you want to listen these things you just do it with a linear phase EQ in the DAW. I would not use this for mixing/mastering, as I have done before. Looking for a flat headset (after diffuse-field correction is applied), which so hard to find, but now we have the Fiio FT1 Pro.

Now we have the Fiio FT1 Pro for only 200$ that kicks it's but ...

Nano is just like an open DCA E3 and just down a few notches on the technical spectrum...tonally similar...that cool and precise presentation. DCA E3 bye-bye and hello Nano.... one CB, one open-back yes - but look at the price chasm..... Also, its taken DCA about 10 years to bring good headphones IMO...even his Fostex were not the best tuned and he had on-going issues with dynamics and center image on his unique designs...they are all like beta releases....try and say anything against the DCA tide on new releases on threads...good luck = echo chambers on Head-Fi....don't like the guy at all.
