@mk5_3 When you make big power, the #1 thing is to have the appropriate cooling mods. More power = more heat. Only someone who is totally clueless would neglect adding the appropriate cooling mods. But these runs may have been back to back to back and that indeed can zap power from both cars.

MK4 didn't hook the second and third race. First race it did. 2JZ is a superior motor as shown by Real Street Performance with their breakdown of the B58 comparing it to the 2JZ. You or anyone else can call me a 2J fanboy whatever. I've heard it all before. When the B58 is capable of 5-6 second passes trapping more than 200mph and making more than 2000hp then you can say its equal or superior to the 2JZ legend.

Nitrous on this 2j is too aggressive for the street. He bashes the limiter right away. Clearly, they're both fast, no doubt... but on a track, the mk4 would trap probably 10mph faster than the mk5. Honestly both are great. the 2jz is still king. 2jz People just need to conquer the learning curve of traction management. The mk5 just has really good traction vs gearing management. Hard pill to swallow but it’s the truth for a lot of old cars. It’s usually what puts them in their place in time.
