So glad to see your new videos, they are so helpful. Thank you Brad. Didn't know about your new book till reading the post by dafarce. Congrats on that. This video really helped me finally really understand the nature of these two tools. thanks.

Thanks you so much for sharing this series of videos on glazing and scumbling...so helpful...to understand the pigments and the way they can push the painting into beautiful nuances is wonderful to watch and now try for myself :)

I really enjoyed this valuable lesson. The concept of atmospheric perspective is a tough one for me at times...

Great lesson, very informative. I always prefer to use flake white for any scumbling work. Fantastic work !

I was looking up videos on painting and I came across a few that were entertaining but you walk away with little. I saw yours and at first I thought what is this guy doing just talking slowly at the camera.. but I had a feeling.. this guy seems to know what he's talking about. I'm so glad I watched it at the pace you set. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and suggestions- trully useful, will be on the lookout for more of your work and will suggest to others. Thank you.

Thanks Leo. I try to help fellow painters as simply as I can. By so doing I have learned a lot, too. It has been great. I really feel there is a lot yet to discover in this endeavor. I really appreciate your kind words. It means a lot to me.

Regarding the traditional fat over lean adage BinaryCody, I think the glazing films have enough medium in them to technically make them quite fat. That is the amount of medium is more than the amount of paint. If you are worried about it you might want to glaze and scumble with straight linseed oil. Additionally the films are quite thin dimensionally, which in conjunction with the underlying paint being quite dry, should make the likelihood of cracking fairly remote.

damn, I really wanted to see that last one in the end. Hey, Brad, you should put a side by side comparison in the end of your videos. Sometimes I realize that I'm not really aware of how much you changed things, just because it was so gradual. I often go back to the beginning and find myself struck by how different the painting looked when you started, and somehow I lost sight of the original by the time I get to the end.
