I feel so bad for the driver of the truck that hit the car. Even tho it wasn't his fault he will always bear the scar on his heart. I pray for him that he will get thru this TRAGIC accident with prayer. I also am praying this young ladies family and friends and can't even imagine how this accident is weighing on their hearts. I am praying that the baby recovers 100%. 🙏

Thoughts and prayers 🙏 💔 I'm so sorry. My sister, at 8 mos pregnant was in an accident very similar to this. She passed, as well as her baby boy. The man involved had a terrible time afterwards. He was never the same. My heart goes out to the driver, families, prayers to all. Praying the baby is ok.

@msdustismith8919 Thank you. It was in oct of 98. She was my best friend and I miss her every day. She was on her way to work, her children were on their way to school. It was very very tough for her children, our entire family..my parents 💔 They were never the same. The man involved was never the same. He had children, grandchildren..it's just awful. I think of these poor people, the families, and my heart just breaks for all. 🙏

I’m 65 now and I took driver’s education in high school…it was pounded into our heads to look both ways and only turn when no cars are approaching. We were also taught how to drive near big rigs, which far too many people don’t. I just can’t comprehend how drivers do what she did…so sad for her child, and her family and friends

I am absolutely disgusted hearing that so many people just kept on driving. What ever happened to helping those in need. These days you see so many people happy to get their phones out to record & photograph horrible things then post it online. How about putting your damn phones down and actually do something to help. The humanity is definitely not what it use to be. Just disgusting. Thank you to the two men who did stop to help. You are both real men in my eyes. My heart goes out to all those involved. My prayers are for the young lady who lost her life, her family and her baby girl who will now grow up without the love & guidance of her mother. Rest In Peace sweet girl. 👼

People probably don’t stop for many reasons. Driver may be elderly or have a disability, or feel they may hinder the situation having not learned CPR if needed, may feel safer calling 911, even being distracted trying to look at an accident may put you at risk of causing another one. You can be quite traumatized yourself to view the aftermath of a tragic event. Myself being assigned to cleanup after a death scene, witnessing the death process of my dearest friend, identifying my husband’s body after his suicide, my sister’s final hours on video during the pandemic. So no, personally, I would not stop knowing I couldn’t help. I try not to be too judgmental of those who keep driving. Those knowing they can help, thankfully, usually do. 🥲

Thank God for the people that stop to help because we have 9 minutes from when the tone drops to jump into our bunkers, load into the engine and get to the scene. Those 9 minutes are critical in cases like this because of loss of life. Sounds like mom probably had severe internal bleeding and/or a torn aorta (in high impact T-bone MVA’s the driver usually dies from that very reason) but that baby was still in the car and infants/pediatric patients overall are the ones who compensate and compensate and then they crash. So I’m thankful he was able to get the baby out even though mom was deceased. These calls always hurt, you wonder why she was in such a hurry, or wasn’t paying attention or whatever the reason is for her driving mistake, but sadly it cost her…her life. I’m thankful no one else was hurt. Right before the holiday too, and she was so young. May she rest in peace and God bring comfort and love to her family and loved ones. 😔

Ya know... I could sit here and say the same thing; that's the easy way to see it but I have tried to not judge everyone else's actions or inactions when it comes to this, and I have 2 recent experiences that come to mind for me, let me explain. Im not a medical professional, ive taken care of some dementia pts back years ago in an assisted living facility with no qualifications other than the love in my heart to help people. Theres been 2 accidents in the past month and a half ive unfortunately witnessed and helped with... but not before I doubted whether to go at all. Immediately, my reaction was to run over to help, then I see multiple vehicles looking like someone would certainly be critical (a large truck (not 18-wheeler) and a Kia soul (sp?) And then a mini van. All I can hear is screaming as I ran from my garden to the road across the way. As I was able to see the damage I noticed the Kia was already starting to ignite a fire on the underside. I ran back for a fire extinguisher after telling the truck driver on scene, they had to get the woman out who wasn't moving she was staring ahead as if she was still driving. Id be lying if I didn't tell you I didn't want to go back, I was terrified of what I was going to walk up on. By the grace of God, we got the woman out and at the pd was arriving as the woman's car was engulfed in flames. I said all that to say this, some people just cannot handle the unthinkable, they may have issues, they may want to just look away, I understand... I remember telling 911 I didn't even want to go over there to see how bad it was bc it look like someone wouldn't survive. I did anyway, but some just mentally can't. I also understand some people these days are also pathetic and don't care about anything other than posting it for the internet, or their self Don't judge everyone the same bc not all people are bad. Nobody knows how they'd react until they're in that position. Xx

People for the love of your child, but the car seat in the middle of the back seat. Don't put it next to either side of the back seat door. Yes, it's a little inconvenient to get them in and out of the car for you, but it's the safest spot in the back for your child. The child most likely wouldn't have been seriously hurt if the car seat was in the middle of the back seat.

Young mother taken too early. God be with her, the family and the baby. God bless Mr. Forward for his heroic efforts. Many who passed through were likely shocked at the scene and could not handle such tragedy. No excuse but that is what often is the case. They must remember if it were them or their loved ones, they would want some help. I was in a high speed rollover in 2015. Cab crushed with borderline life-threatening injuries. Many stopped and helped. The person who caused the accident responded to me when I asked him "what the hell?" he wanted to fight. Being an aggressive male (6-2, 220) I obliged not knowing I had broken ribs in a lung... and couldn't catch my breath. A woman grabbed me and told me I was injured and to lie down...thank God she was there. Had I gotten into a scrape with this guy it may have turned out differently. She may have saved my life. God Bless the first responders and those who stop to help.

It is extremely disturbing to me watching these videos and hearing people laughing... I think it's an extremely poor taste. It’s not tacky… it’s how first responders cope with seeing constant death and destruction… they laugh to keep from crying… most of these first responders still have 8 hours to go before they get to go home and process what they just saw! I would love for you to do what they do for a week and see how you handle it!! Most of us couldn’t handle what they see and deal with on a daily basis!! Quit judging people until you can walk a mile in their shoes!!! People like you are disgusting and don’t think about what these first responders go through and see daily!! It’s selfish to decide how people should act when they deal with this on the daily!! Everyone deals with tragedy and trauma differently so get over yourself and think about the first responders and their mental state seeing these things…

19 years old is not only too young to have a baby, it's too young to drive. No fault to the driver of the truck/trailer, and 100% fault to the 19-year-old. With the new anti-abortion laws, you can be certain that this will become a more common scenario.

It says in the description that the 3 month old baby was NOT in critical condition. Typical clickbait BS. Why lie about something so insidious?? The mom died, you already have your exciting headline. You only put BABY CRITICAL for more views. Disgusting.

Edit: Fox 26 Houston article on the day of the crash stated the baby was in a 'critical condition', so it's not clickbait, probably what the police told the press from what medics had said at the time the child had to be moved to another hospital. At the time it was thought the child was critical as she deteriorated and had to be diverted to a different hospital for specialist care. Media may have said the child was critical and that's what the channel picked up on. Don't worry about it, just hope the child is good now, and the family have lots of photos so the little one never forgets her mother. It's very sad.
