My model 17 is equipped with an 8⅜" barrel and TT, TH, TG. Has virtually never suffered a light firing pin strike. I have fairly large hands and I really like the big Smith grips on my revolvers. I have a 58 and had a 581, both with the smaller Magna grips. The L frame was kind of okay, but I lent it to a thief, so it's history. The N frame .41 Magnum was hugely improved with the target stocks. It has the narrow grooved trigger and checkered hammer. My future plan is to install a smooth target trigger.

Morning J.W and that was a great story with your Uncle.Speaking of Hogs I was traveling along Interstate 95 in South Carolina heading to Florida and I saw maybe half a dozen Hogs rooting along not far from the side of the highway.That 22 LR revolver is nice to! Thanks Slim.

good morning JW !!! I own 4 Classic-line Smith&Wesson's and love them. I still hope to add the model 57 (.41 magnum caliber) someday, although there are several guns ahead of it on my wish list 🙂

CZ just does things right I have not found one I have shot yet I didn't like. Haters like you stated hate because they cannot rake someone over the coals, that and purists who think it should never change when change is inevitable. The time spent with your uncle is priceless pigs are a different beast in the hunting game. 22's are always hit and miss usually it is all ammunition related I recently picked up a 1000 rounds of Browning 22 and so far it doesn't run well at all I can see why it was on sale. Nice pick up I would also like to find a classic S&W 22 one of these days hopefully this newer one works out well for you

Interesting on the Browning 22lr ammo. Sadly this is not my 22 and has been returned to it's owner, I had too much bad luck with them to acquire another.
