Hey guys, thank you for all the interesting and entertaining videos, whether its accidents, road rage, close calls or funny videos. Really appreciate it! :) But.... Almost 40-50% of the videos that are currently sended in are not entertaining to watch or show everyday and rather boring scenes. Do not be angry, but the channel has improved (as much as you hopefully recognize) in qualitaty since 2014. Please only send videos that are also worth für a „best of dashcam“ and not only so that you get into the video, because that will not work but create pointless work for you and me. Thank you for all submissions, but please ask yourself: Is my video really good and interesting to watch or do I really just want to come by all means in the next compilation? If it is the last, dont send it, because everyday trivialities (such as right of way) will not appear anymore. Or only very very few. This applies to videos from all over Europe and especially for German videos (where 30-40% of the videos come from). Please understand that! It is in your own interest that the videos are entertaining and do not show philistines who are upset about trivialities, even though such videos were often included in the past. Times are changing. Tombolonn Das ist auch keine Frage, dass die falsch rüber gegangen sind. Fakt ist aber: der Autofahrer ist deutlich zu flink an dem Bus vorbei. Du musst damit rechnen, dass Leute vor dem Bus entlang laufen. Hier oben bei mir an der Bushaltestelle beobachte ich das jeden Tag: der Bus hält (die Straße geht in einer Rechtsbiegung nach oben weiter, du siehst nicht was kommt und die Leute kommen oft runter gerast). Aus dem Bus steigen Unmengen Kinder aus. Die Leute hinter dem Bus beschleunigen zügig an dem Bus vorbei... Kinder sollten das Wissen und Erwachsene auch, dass man nicht einfach vor dem Bus über die Straße läuft. Aber als Autofahrer muss ich immer damit rechnen, dass sie es nicht wissen...

Wenn man direkt am Bus die Straße überqueren möchte, dann macht man das VOR dem Bus, da die Autofahrer von vorne einen dann sehen! Hinterm Bus wird man nicht direkt gesehen.

30 würde schon oft reichen - und man muss nur so Schritt fahren, wenn die Warnblinkanlage eingeschaltet ist. Dafür gibt es "angeordnete Haltestellen" z.B. an Schulen, an denen Fahrer die Warnblinkanlage an machen MÜSSEN. Ansonten entscheiden die Fahrer das selbst. Aber es tut auch nicht weh, bei eusgeschlteter Warnblinkanlage langsam wu fahren.

(7:35) Normally some bikers tend to act like they own the whole road, and think no laws apply to them. - However, in this situation, if you are turning, you have to yield to the traffic (bikes) going straight. So in this situation, the car should have yield. (But in other situations, like a bike crossing the road, the bike has to yield).

Well, sometimes on narrow roads people just slow down when there is oncoming traffic, they are afraid, so maybe he thought he will just slow down and not stop, though he should have kept more room for error there, though I think the car behind him should have kept more room as well. Drivers should get useed to the idea there can be anything on the road (even when they cannot see it) and the car in front may stop for whatever reason at any time and they have to be able to deal with it. I knew a driver who trained his reactions by driving very close to other cars and reacting really quickly to changes they made... he got used to people not applying full brake and it was only a matter of time till he got himself into an accident when someone had to.

That is like following a fu***** pouť wagon. Brake light, brake light, brake light, brake light... Makes every calm person want to punch the guy.

Technically, if it wasn't for the speed of the overtaker, the SUV would have been 100% at fault. Limit is probably 100 km/h, overtaker was going 120 km/h easily. But even then, the SUV driver would be required to prove that the accident wouldn't have happened if the other guy was traveling 100 km/h, which he very likely can't. But we also don't know if overtaking was even allowed there. There might be a sign for that.

Had the SLK driven with 100 himself, he wouldn't have been able to overtake the cammer doing 104 himself. So the accident definitely under this circumstances wouln't have happened with 100. Only the 120+ were causing the danger there.

Juliers No, the danger was caused by the guy pulling out without checking both directions. If the cammer was going 90 and the overtaker 100, the situation wouldn't have changed at all. This could have been a deadly accident with the overtaker being completely guilt-free. The important lesson to learn from this is to look into both directions to check that nobody is using your lane for whatever reason. In my country, overtaking is not generally forbidden on junctions, unless there's a solid line or a traffic sign. But even on junctions where that is the case, you should most definitely still check both directions.
