Just found your channel after doing a search for this Gundam. The head blew up in my hands thanks to the small pieces and had to spend 5 minutes searching for pieces. Love the gloss on the kit, but the head is driving me insane as the parts won't stay on. I'm torn on the RG kits because of how obnoxious putting parts on can be but the attention to detail is amazing. At least the instructions had English translations which helped with most of the fiddly bits. Great review.

Yup not for everyone specially for the beginners like me haha There are so so tiny delicate parts specially on the head that you need extra care for not losing them. Also sticker sucks! I busted out the left eye and the blue tiny dot on the forehead unfortunately. But I very proud as my first ever gunpla 😁

Just build mine and broke a very small piece off off a very small red piece that goes on the head, its barely noticeable luckily. Those pieces in the head are SMALL! Besides that it was a very smooth enjoyable build to me. I did feel the need to "fix" the bad nubs with a black gundam marker.

Finished the kit already, really impressed. Superb color seperation,many accesories and choice to post. Recommended. The only bad thing is the nubs are really thick and hard to cut clean. The plastic on hip joint was quite thin so be careful when posing.

the front thigh armor sometimes popped off, and the back armor for one of the feet. But both easily solved by glue if it's really bothering you.

there will be visible nubs if you do it like that. It will be best to remove the parts from the runners and clean up the nubs first before painting/plating.

Hi there, Zach! As the regular Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu getting an RG is pretty much guaranteed from the runners, do you think we can get an RG Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Perfect Form? They would just need to make the right arm's inner frame gold and duplicate it, as well as the right shoulder armor. Is it a likely scenario for Bandai to make it?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much of a special kind of hell is painting a 2 color frame like this? A 10 would be considered torture under most international laws. I should probably extend this question to the RG frame in general, since the Mk II Titans is a kit I want to build/paint eventually.

You still could, just be prepared for the challenge. My first RG was the Exia, which also involves tiny pieces (which I ended up cementing), as well as some truly annoying transparent 'powerline' covers that don't stick to anything. The idea is to sandwich them between armour pieces, which is okay for the flat parts, but much more difficult for the head. So I wonder if this or the Exia is more difficult to build.

i've heard that RGs can be difficult due to small parts and many parts tend to easily come off or shake loose. i can only hope that i don't break anything or make a mistake with panel washing that'll crack any pieces. since this kit is newer, the logic is that it should be better built/designed than the RG exia, but i personally couldn't tell you. kit looks pretty darn solid, though, and it looks wonderful without much extra done to it.

There is nothing wrong with most RG's. Sure some of them have really small parts or are somewhat fragile (RG Zeta) but if you're careful and take your time, they can look really good. There's also nothing wrong with having to cement a couple parts here or there. Just make sure you're careful no to get any cement where it's not supposed to go. The MK II, Astray Red Frame, 00 Raiser or the QAN[T] are all really good RG's.

Gus Mendez depends on how heavy the backpack is. if you add weight on the feet, some joints might suffer from it. especially the waist joint. RG's waist joint is terrible.

Gus Mendez i guess so. with weighed feet on the ground, the lower body would stay firmly but the weight of the backpack would pull the upper body to the back. In other words: it could stand on the ground, but in arching position (the upper body facing upwards). Of course the waist (as it's in the middle between lower and upper body) would suffer. Action base helps the distribution of the weight stays balanced.
