Art shouldn't ever be duplicated. Art can be 'inspired by' another piece but the unique characteristics are part of it's charm. But I totally understand that you want to be able to predict the outcome of resin to ink to temperature to humidity to the type mold, etc. The trial-&-error process can be tiring, expensive, time-consuming and frustrating. I am just watching and I become frustrated for you. In spite of your struggles you remain gracious, upbeat, entertaining and informative. Thank you.

Love, love, love the first one you pulled out that was blue and green. It did look like earth from space. I think it was last one you did, resin seeing up more so inks did not fall as far through?

It is funny how some of the resin artists I follow are adamant about never using a blow torch, just a long match flame to kill the bubbles, while others have the opposite opinion. The final results were all so beautiful! I love the colors

I photocopy the empty molds (set for very light ink), to keep my notes, either before, to remind me what to try, or after, to remember what I did. But I think they will still be quite unique because of the Brownian Motion (random motion of fluids). Very nice video, TY.

I think they are all just beautiful Julie!! Now you're kind of going with what I had in mind which is putting the alcohol inks directly in the mold. But if it was me I wouldn't put so much in where you're making them so dark although I love the ones you did... that's NOT what I'm saying. I would still like to SEE how they would FEATHER WITHOUT them being so OPAQUE? Say if you just light-handed dropped like 2 a.i. example like a purple and a yellow in one mould with a SMALL bit of white on top the 2 colors not totally flood with alcohol inks and white and then just give it a small swirl do you think that would work??? Because I have not seen you try that yet. Maybe you can add my suggestion to your long list lol thanks for sharing

Yes, I think they may be some clear parts. You can always paint the backside. I love it when the are see-through... anyhow I love them all... and I like a few bubbles to. Like a real underwater life...

the blue/greens look like looking at a field with trees and a pond thru a lens during a rain shower, with the spots on the glass. the pink/purple/yellow look kind of like alien planets with atmosphere swirling.

They turned out soooo pretty, I was cringing when you used the lighter on the alcohol ink because I did that to and fire and alcohol do not go together, My alcohol got the fire and the mold burnt so please Julie watch out, the best way is with alcohol ink to use an lower setting on a heattool for bubbles because also alcohol for bubbles will not work on alchol ink because it spreads out ofcourse

The issues with the ink are because you are not supposed to use more than 10% of liquid pigments and you probably used about 35%-40% in that last one

Poor little blobs... I prefer to think of the look as being ostrich feathers and flowers or mushrooms. I wonder if the differences are due to the length of time before you got to each piece.
