A subscriber called Bonesworld suggested that I should have re-packed the end can while I had the silencer off. What a good idea, what do I do Bonesworld? He gave me some excellent suggestions and, to make it easier, I bought a kit from Fuel Exhausts in Cumbria. Brilliant company, arrived the next day. They have an excellent KZbin video on how to do it as well, so make sure you watch that as well.

No I didn’t either. Presume it is only after market silencers? Don’t know how you would even get into standard BMW ones??

Thanks Neil, as I said I have never done it before either. Because I have never owned or ever used a rivet gun a £7 kit sealed ideal. Even came with a whole selection of rivets. That didn’t matter because the repacking kit from Fuel Exhausts included 6 stainless steel rivets. The £7 gun just could not cut them 😱. Had to use the kit alloy rivets. I normally buy good tools but thought I will only use it once….big mistake🤷🏼‍♂️
